I'm afraid I've expressed myself poorly. If the star you're looking for it's the ID you posted before, well that does not exist in a standard SpaceEngine 0980 version. I can't find it me too. Hornblower probably use a galaxy addon that we don't have installed.

That was just example, I don't have any "RS" object in the Find Object window (F3). :'(

Just type the whole name of a RS object, then click "Ok" or if you want to travel there immediately, "Go to" if you want to go there.

I don't have any "RS" object in the Find Object window (F3)
RS objects are not displayed in the search window !
If you have an RS address, enter it in the window and press 'Go to'.
If the star exists, you will be led there.

Find Object window lists known catalog objects or addons objects, but as I said if you write a known RS number it will select it for you.
And if you don't have a particular RS object number, then the only way to find some, apart for clicking on a random star on the screen, again it's the Star Browser :)

Maybe we should also mention the fact that "RS" objects are not real objects, but procedurally generated by the program on the fly (RS = Random Star).

And RC is a star cluster, RSC is a star in a star cluster, RN is a nebula and RG is a galaxy.

The most insane thing I've ever seen is a ridiculously volcanic moon. I mean seriously, that thing illuminated the moons nearby as if it were the reflection of the planet.

Once I created a star and it generated a bunch of procedural planets. One moon was 2.11 magnitudes brighter than it's cold gas giant parent planet, while being 6 times smaller.

Why not a category for the Oldest and Youngest stars/planet.

Can anyone find a planet with less than 100.000 years? Or one that has come along the entire history of the universe?

Planets are not generated around stars less than 1e6 years old.

Big star that I found on the old forum (I take no credit): RS 0-0-0-733-7216-0-0-31
It has 164.52 A.U. radius and 300 solar masses.

RS 6699-449-6-243194-48 8, a slightly more oblate planet (with an oblateness of ~0.09) than R136a1 3.
