Glad to see IC 1101's black hole getting some love.
Unfortunately IC 1101's lack of star density makes a lot of people not go to it. But that black hole is amazing :)
Yea, it doesn't have many stars. I think it's because the performance hit would be too heavy, if such huge galaxy was packed with many stars as other galaxies are. In this galaxy it would be probably simply too much and the engine would crash. I don't know.

My second compilation video, again with wacky music but no slideshows this time. Some clips are a bit longer than a minute. Just wanted to share with y'all.

Get in your seat, strap in and hold on tight, get your zero-g liquid vacuum tubes ready just in case, and don't forget to take your Dramamine pills!

Here's a short film I made last year using space engine and archival footage. Hope some of you find it interesting!

Thanks EventHorizonTheShip

Flying over the mountains on some random planet using the 360 degree Cylindrical Projection display enabled. You can click and drag the mouse over the screen on YouTube to move your head around while flying or use the YouTube app and place your cellphone in your VR headset and move your real head around to see in 360 degrees!

Apparently when YouTube "corrects" the lighting of a video it removes the 360 metadata that allows it to be seen in 360 degrees and instead shows the flattened out cylindrical projection. I've un-corrected it and it should work now.
