done. you where right! the shadow was very tricky! but I still kind of managed :)
Mine

NASA
maxresdefault.jpg
there are three major issues with mine, one: the red spot is not in the proper place, it should be a little bit higher and more to the left. two: the planet is too clear! it stands out to much! in the pic it slightly blurred. three: the right side of the pic has a dark end. mine is bright all the way.
but besides these three issues I think I did...meh, alright.

Well, the thing is, the "NASA" image is a CG composite. In the image, Io has to be incredibly close to Jupiter to generate that shadow in the red spot as it approaches the dark side

you'll have to edit the image in photoshop to get it right

the closest thing you'll get is this (Im using different textures, I know, but its imposible unless you edit it)

your right. I bought IO close to Jupiter and also missed with the inclination to get that shadow there but there was no way I could get it to the dark end. the shadow just stretched to much :/ I was thinking of photoshopping it but instead I just did the basic edits like color and contrast. but nothing that will completely change the look! because that would just be cheating ;)   I still had fun though! I think I might make this a new thing of mine where I attempt to replicate an image online to space engine. :)

and aye! if others join in on the whole replicating thing I can make it a new topic. maybe something like "replicated image dump" or just "replicated images" works too. :D

thank you! I did some zooming and time scaling. but I did ALOT if inclination and other orbit changes with IO to get that shadow there! wasn't that easy! I also did some lighting, contrast, and clarity changes to make the colors and such look alike. :)
