Actually I stitched several regular screenshots together with a stereographic projection.  Fish-eye mode in SE would be similar, but this allows more versatility and higher resolution.

The image is of the whole sky of a terra with a pink atmosphere, during a total solar eclipse.  All around the horizon you can see beyond the shadow to sunlit pink sky, and near the sun is an evaporating planet, spreading its tail like a comet. :)

An'shur, interesting indeed. I had just changed the orbit of the Earth but still in the Sun and I had right to the Earth warm but with life (the oceans was very low) and frozen but it was for a test to see If it generates the diffuse map with a predefined bump map.

Here's a scorched desert planet orbiting a binary Zircon Star during the night of its ~10 hour day.

Here's the view from the planet during the day. The planet has an atmosphere of H2O, O2, C2H2, C2H4, and NH3 among other compunds, and the entire system in barely over two million years old.
