Planetary engine

so that's a whole planet in motion?
The largest is the planet, with all the shining dots being satellites, and adding glow textures and comet tail gas particles
Wow!

Would you mind if I used one of them as a screensaver?
Who, me? No, not at all. I'm actually flattered.
But if you're going to sell them as wallpaper/screensaver images, then send some profits my way. :) I am poor (financially).
I'm afraid I won't be selling them, sorry :)
Well, I was going to say "Have at them, then." But since I'm not using a paid-for Pro version of Space Engine, it would seem that Vlad still owns my screenshots — I guess you should ask him if you can use them. :D
And on that note, have another one — Fleet Week.

Hey Doc, will ice-shell moons and/or planets be represented in SE v0990 in the Frigid or Cold temperature categories for objects? By ice-shell, I mean is there more variety to their outward icy appearance? In 0980, most cold worlds looked like Pluto or Triton, with a cratered, mottled and general 'dirty snowball' look. This is accurate of course, but there was an inaccurate  non-generation of Europa or Enceladus-type worlds that had a fresher look to them. In the real universe this is of course because their surface glaciers are continually replenished by tidal flexing and whatnot, but in SE I had to install a mod that added more fresh regiones, planitae, chaoses, dorsum, sulci etc. Are these fresher features present on the planets of 0990?

How does it exactly work? and will is be in the final release?

Something I have been wanting for a long time is cloud shadows.

vlad01, duplicate cloud layer, set height to something much lower, set color to dark, make semi transparent with opacity, set bump height to 0, and bam pseudo-cloud shadows.  It's an old catalog hack that has been around since 0.9.6.0.

Blue Mars looks fantastic! :o
Yes, is this a custom planet script kind of thing? A shift-F2 edit? I don't suppose it could be turned on globaly? (Or universally in this case.)
