I have a question for this forum. Do you guys think we should keep this at only recreations of real life photos, or should we also include recreations of artist renditions as well?

no! you can have artist recreations too such as something that is CGI composed or drawn.

The very first submission to the thread was a recreation of an artistic image.

I mean, the point is re-create. Artistic images would work only for things we barely have images from, like exoplanets

Am I seriously getting flack here? I thought it was a legit question that I was asking. I understand the point is to re-create, I was one of the people who came up with this thread. But since I didn't actually create it, I thought it would only be right that I asked so that everybody could be on the same page.

Doesn't look like it to me.

It was and I think it should be a recreation of anything really.  if you want to recreate images from movies, books, shows, or anything else I say go for it, more activity like that is never a bad thing.

There was a thread in the old forum with a lot of recreational images. I'm going to post all the ones that where made there so it doesn't get lost, if all of you are ok with that. Also consider that in the old thread the restriction was not to edit in any way the shots.

OK so I just want to apologize for my last post. I didn't mean for it to sound that aggressive and I was wrong for the things I said. I really didn't have a reason to be as harsh as I was. I love this program and this forum and I really don't want to burn any bridges here. So again I apologize and I hope there's no hard feelings.

I'm pretty sure it will be even more interesting with the new update, when you will be able to change saturation/contrast/etc. might become hard to say which one is real and which one is SE  8-)
