In this thread we can put our edited Space Engine screenshots (so we don't mix the pictures with those for the screenshot gallery).
Just one rule:  Put the before image (your SE screenshot) and the after image (the edited version)

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is my first edited image. I tried to make the view of Io over Jupiter from an icy landscape on Europa (the FOV is tiny). Besides the color, contrast, glow and illumination anhancement of the edited version I've included redish aurora-like glows in the upper atmosphere of Jupiter, representing the Io-Jupiter electric current that indeed make strange plasma shows (but in the magnetic poles of Jupiter, not like in my picture).

After

Finally using these images I did the final edit.

Something I wanted to do for a while: the Daedalus going into hyperspace.
Hyper Daedalus.png
Initially I was to use just the first image, but then I decided to go with a different background. The hyperspace window was cropped from a Stargate Atlantis screenshot. I also played around with the blur options on the BC-304 and eventually settled on the radial blur to recreate the "acceleration stretching" effect always seen in the show while crossing a window. :)

This thread immediately reminds me of a photoshopped image I posted on Reddit a while back:

Here's a few more I made with Gimp:

Makes me think of UFOs carrying ancient aliens scouting around the desert terrain, LOL.

Guys, are there any major differences between the current and the older versions of Adobe Photoshop which affect image effects, according to your experiences??? I'm asking coz I'm still using PS 2.0 but have insufficient savings to buy a newer version.

This is an old photoshop of mine, I was showing how would SE look if it had 3d clouds.  :)

I don't have the original image though, and it is very unrealistic now that I see it again.
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

This entire scene is inspired from a D&D campaign I was in a few years ago.

Wow! That is beautiful
