also does the program include quark stars?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quark_star

Observed overdense neutron stars[edit]
Statistically, the probability of a neutron star being a quark star is low,[sup][citation needed][/sup] so in the Milky Way there would only be a small population of quark stars. If it is correct however, that overdense neutron stars can turn into quark stars, that makes the possible number of quark stars higher than was originally thought, as observers would be looking for the wrong type of star.
Quark stars and strange stars are entirely hypothetical as of 2011, but observations released by the Chandra X-ray Observatory on April 10, 2002 detected two candidates, designated RX J1856.5-3754 and 3C58, which had previously been thought to be neutron stars. Based on the known laws of physics, the former appeared much smaller and the latter much colder than it should be, suggesting that they are composed of material denser than neutron-degenerate matter. However, these observations are met with skepticism by researchers who say the results were not conclusive;[sup][16][/sup] and since the late 2000s, the possibility that RX J1856 is a quark star has been excluded.
Another star, XTE J1739-285,[sup][17][/sup] has been observed by a team led by Philip Kaaret of the University of Iowa and reported as a possible candidate.
In 2006, Y. L. Yue et al., from Peking University, suggested that PSR B0943+10 may in fact be a low-mass quark star.[sup][18][/sup]
It was reported in 2008 that observations of supernovae SN2006gySN2005gj and SN2005ap also suggest the existence of quark stars.[sup][19][/sup] It has been suggested that the collapsed core of supernova SN1987A may be a quark star.[sup][20][/sup][sup][21][/sup]
In 2015, Z.G. Dai et al. from Nanjing University suggested that Supernova ASASSN-15lh is a newborn strange quark star.[sup][22][/sup]

A-L-E-X, post suggestions in the suggestions thread, post questions in the questions thread and post mod ideas here.

Sup. Hiig here. Lurked the old forums, but never made an account previously.

Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason why I can't make new threads? Am I to assume this is some anti-spam measure?

Its because we have had problems in the past with bots registering and making 20 threads to spam products.

Makes sense. Had that issue on the forum I run as well. I don't remember what I did to solve it though. Probably a new anti spam feature from a myBB upgrade. So what are the requirements to create new threads? Post count, or join date?

I might be mistaken but I think it's 10 posts.

It is indeed, as said in the forum rules.

Either that or the questions thread.

Post questions here.
But to answer your question:

In the game, the Milky Way has 270 billion stars. so unless you want to waste large amounts of time using the star browser, then sadly, there is no way to do what you suggested.

Hello everybody! Hobo Sullivan here. Not much to say. Slightly obsessed with astronomy, and SpaceEngine feeds my obsession nicely.

Who isn't? Nice you have you on the Forum.

Hello \o

I'm from Norway and i'm in love with most space stuffs.

I'm pretty new to Space Engine and this forum. But that haven't prevented me from falling in love with Space Engine and made a little preview video from it. My preview video is 1/3rd of the total lenght of the final video i will release soon (i hope).

My 6 mins long preview video you can find here.

[youtube]GpBOKED_L-A[/youtube]

I hope you like it so far. But, since i do love most things about space, i also play another space game that is called 'EVE Online' (there is even an EVE Online ship / station mod for Space Engine that i'm using). I have been playing that game since early 2004 and i'm still loving it.

But as i do love Space Engine, i had to make a post about Space Engine on the EVE Online forum here :D : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=510290

I almost can't wait for the future development of Space Engine.
