Quick Question about Realism

02 Apr 2017 03:21

Quick question, in the Magnitude/Brightness menu (F7), by default the Models Lighting value for Galaxies is set to 4. Does that mean the actual/real perceived brightness is 1?

In general, what do you guys do to make things as real as possible?

Quick Question about Realism

I was talking about pretty much the same thing not long ago, but I was asking if it could be a feature that made things more realistic.

By default it's set to 7000 or 7 like the stars, you might have tinkered with some of the stuff a little bit. ;)
I'm good when it comes to Physics, Algebra, Relativity, Space, and SpaceEngine. But I could still use a LOT of help on the things I still don't know. So I hope I get a lot of help on how all that works, here!

Nope, he's right. The value he's referring to (Models lighting for Galaxies) it's 4 by default.

Yeah, I thought he said about the apparent magnitude not the brightness, sorry.
