Amazing Black Hole shader demonstration

02 Nov 2018 20:42

I saw a black hole shader demonstration on Shadertoy website. The effect is amazing. It's very similar to interstellar black holes traversing inside. We expect Space Engine to add such black hole effects in the future.
I attached a link, you can see.

And the demonstration of this planetary ring and water shader is also amazing.
This is a link to the relevant shaders on Shadertoy.

I like those volumetric rings most of all. I hope we'll see some work done on them in the future, along with volumetric clouds etc. Also I'm partial to the idea of sound and ambience in exoplanetary atmospheres! Err.. minus the bird sounds of course :).
