Procedural civilizations I think is impossible, but it wouldn't be improbable as add-ons/ mods. At it's simplest and effectiveness at the moment would be megastructures, dyson structures and maybe space faring vessels. I would be more interested in seeing models of things like the ISS, or code to enable adding stations in orbit.

Procedural life, would that be the same as possibly No Man's Sky? As much as seeing intelligent life as technological would be cool, I would find creatures more interesting. I know NMS use mathematical algorithms to spawn life. Is that something that isn't possible in the Space Engine coding?

according to my research, the engine used by space engine is different from that of no man's sky, the addition of living creatures would pose a lot of optimization problem, moreover, it is very difficult to set up an algorithm simulating the evolution Darwinian, especially when you have to simulate millions of years of evolution. I don't think it's within the reach of a personal computer. optimization is already difficult, such an opening would make it impossible. no man's sky uses already implanted creatures, eventually breaking the immersion due to inconsistencies.

Y-Yeah, NMS wasn't made using Space Engine.

I am so delighted to have found this TODO page. This page is very helpful and gives users an insight guide on the development stages on what's been implemented and what's planned for the future of Space Engine.

i have a idea, make plants on planets with life, what would be even cooler if you made them randomly generated so every plant looks different, and maybe even add plant evolution if possible

Can we add 'proper relativistically done black holes' to that list? SpaceEngine in its mathematically inaccurate depiction of the Universe only furthers the notion that black holes are dark inside. Doing an estimation of a freefall geodesic rather than a quasi-stationary vantage point would be good enough. Until then, I expect that SE actively tries to prevent misconceptions like that slipping in.

I would also like to see time dilation incorporated when getting near black holes.

Did you see this?

Astronomers see the back of a black hole for the first time through the x-rays emitted by the backside of the black hole.

Love SE and hope to see it thrive.  I love to explore.  A few things I would like to see:

1. Ability to save graphics config sets, restore to defaults on each submenu.
2. Automatic course plotting from A to B with variables such as star type, shortest course, max jump ly, by search result, etc.  Visual representation of the course on the universe map, with a history of discoveries autosaved.
3. EVA capability in an SRV.
4. More terrain detail/variation for up close exploration.

My biggest want is route plotting since I feel like I am sort of bouncing around now.
