Work progress 0.9.8.1 = 0.9.9.0

25 Mar 2018 20:04
You know, I'm pretty sure no one would mind if you released an open beta of 0.9.9.0.
Since SE is not open beta, I'm pretty sure that mean someone would mind, namely SpaceEngineer.
you would get plenty of feedback on the software, as well as bug reports and improvement ideas.
And here you just gave the reason why he would mind. (emphasis mine)

It's a free market and another company can make it's own space sim that may or may not take it's inspiration from space engine and I can guarantee Vladimir will not stop working on Space Engine and make it the most realistic space sim of them all. Nobody is afraid of a contender, I'd be happy to see one myself, but I'd still keep on supporting Space Engine because I know Vladimir is committed to making it the best one there is.
I don't want him to hire a team or anything, I am happy he is doing it by himself. I love being able to show it to people and say THIS IS MADE BY ONE GUY

There are many competitors of SE made by professional teams, but they all are used in digital planetariums, and are not available for free. They must fear SE, then it will come on this market :)

Tell me what they are? You can make a list.

My idea was to let the public create their own content for SpaceEngine, and the best user code would make it into the official release. It would be a community project.

Hi SpaceEngineer !

I would to know if it possible to have the "search window", the "Places window", etc... out of the main window ?
To put it in another screen... if we need them !
I used your genius software to explain the universe to people with a videoprojector or in a small planetarium, it would be great to used it with asomes externals windows...
I can't wait for the scripts too !! ;) ;)

Thank's a lot for your work.

I dont know if a premature release will be good. all this waiting actually is producing something that is worth it.

Keep up the good work, SpaceEngineer! We're all cheering you on!

I don't know. I love what the previews show. Even if certain terrain updates aren't fully implemented, 9.9.0 will be great.

To be honest, I'd rather wait for a complete release without bugs.

This is impossible. No piece of software can be completely bug-free. Especially SE due to its complexity.
