2GB isn't that high considering having games around 50GB today

I have a question: Zirconium stars appear twisted, rather like two donuts inside out, perpendicular to each other, in the same area, with gas filling between them. Why is this, and is it intended? While I don't think I can embed it, here's an image that hopefully shows what I mean. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... r00004.png

Macronicus, 2GB is quite small nowadays.  You can store SE just about anyway

This ridiculous 'Be ready when its ready' attitude is so juvenile and I have to fully agree with the previous poster it is a poor way to run a business - That's what SE needs to be to succeed. If the guys at Overview (cant remember the company name now?) but if they rang Vladimir and said 'When can we expect an update on the overview project?' and Vlad replied 'It will be ready when its ready!' the phone would have went dead and the $10000 dollars would have been down the drain! But that did not happen, and there would have been time frames and deadlines to work to - So again - why are we regular users given the childish 'ready when its ready' treatment??

I could not care less if it takes 2, 3 or even 4 years for the next beta - JUST KEEP US INFORMED!? SE is losing donations because of this attitude. There does not have to be a definite release, its Vlad's simulation he can do what he wants - but just say 'I hope for a release or update by October' and if October comes and Vlad says 'we need another 6 months - so I'm hoping for release in April' that's fine. Sure people will moan but IT KEEPS US INFORMED! You OWE that at least to all those who have donated their hard earned cash to your project.
It is hard to come up with a release date when making such a big program. Unexpected bugs appear, and they may take a while to fix. We are currently already quite informed about what is happening through blogs etc. If SpaceEngineer were to constantly update us on everything it would leave little room for development. While it would be nice for 0.990 to be released before early - mid 2019, if there are major bugs that appear, the date will just be delayed more, and we will just be more dissapointed. Just like JWST, even providing a estimated laucnh date doesn't help the problems that the team is encountering.

Yes, most of my games from 15 years ago are about this size or bigger.

2gb is tiny by today's standards.

At this rate I'd be happy if it was released by 2020. I remember when there was a possibility of it releasing in 2017. However, I think it would be best if we hope for 2020 as the release date. This is actually reminding me of AOC2.

I'm not sure what's more triggering for me here. The self-entitled greedy newbies here spamming demanding insta access to 0.990, or the spam of pirated Trek models spamming the old Celestia Forums 10 years ago.

That said, as one with my own social shortcomings, the cultural difference between East and West were at first difficult for me to understand. I agree that we should refrain from bashing it or using it as an excuse to have a nasty attitude in a vain effort to get grubby greedy hands on an unfinished Beta. For all we know the current stage of development would make my Intel HD laptop go BOOM, leaving behind a nuclear mushroom cloud making neighboring towns think Trump went off the deep end, whereas the final released version of 0.990 could potentially be decent enough for my laptop to render just as beautifully as it does with 0.980

Will the new version be Steam exclusive or is it going to be available on the website as well like earlier versions? You mentioned that Solar System HD and Ultra addons will be free, but what about the SE itself?

"No site versions anymore. SE will be Steam-only. Maybe in future I will expand it to other sale platforms, particularly, Oculus."
What about us who do not have a steam account?
