Thanks and I like the new menu.
Also, maybe instead Edit planet SpaceEngineer can do Edit aster because we can edit star also or is reference to catalogs/planets folder ?

The terrain looks so beautiful, I cannot wait to experience it myself! So you are pretty much done with the terrain upgrades? That is what I understood from the first paragraph of the update you posted. If so, and out of my own curiosity, what else are you wanting/planning to work on before the release of 0.990?

So after release of beta, modders should find or create PBR textures for their planets addons. This is mandatory now: soil textures must have albedo, displacement and roughness maps, ambient occlusion and metallness map will be added also. And in the release they probably will be in a compressed DDS format, which also will be a mandatory.


Specs: Dell Inspiron 5547 (Laptop); 8 gigabytes of RAM; Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz; Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 4400 (That's all there is :( )

The last grass screenshot look like 3D and i see shadows of grass Good job SpaceEngineer! :D

Very good work on the terrain upgrade 5. Keep on improving how terrain looks like from close up to 1mm level and higher.

Does terrain updates will give us forests?(if 3D trees would be peformance killer then at least sprite trees)

No, it does not add forests or any kind of 3D objects.
