Actually, if you say so much, you might as well publish it in a steam store now.
We're going to as soon as we can. We have to wait for Valve to review and approve it for publication.

Does Valve give progress updates to you or do they stay quiet about it?

I'd imagine that now that the program has just been transcribed / re-coded to x64bit more testing would be required (in order to ensure stability and/or possible memory leaks amongst other things). We must be patient and not put pressure on Space Engineer so that the release is not rushed.

Release build is ready, we waiting approval from Steam. They usually sending emails after several working days, with a text like "Error. You must do that and that". This has happen several times already. So even the "release build" may be changed in upcoming weeks (if I have to code something significant). Also beta testers continue finding bugs, which must be fixed.

You mean making it available for pre-order?[/quote]

Well, if SpaceEngine has passed Valve's review, we hope it can be released early and can be purchased, downloaded and used.

Yes, SE 0.990 is a huge leap forward. It has been developed for nearly four years. It has a lot more features than its latest release date, 0.9.8.0. It's also very difficult to find bugs. There may be bugs in all new features. Beta testers and developers need to find them and fix them by developers, which takes a long time, because they need to use the new functions of the software and find defects. From October 2018 until now, developers have been trying to develop and fix the program errors of SpaceEngine. Thank you very much for the hard work of developers and Beta testers for six months! Wish SE steam on shelf as soon as possible!

I... Was making a joke about how long Valve takes with this kind of stuff. Good speech though, but perhaps we should steer the conversation back to 0.9.9.0 features?

I am so excited, I just hope my graphics bug with black holes dont persist over (gtx 960 update broke the shaders). But that’s nothing compared to the big milestone that is about to be achieved!

So from what I am seeing, a conservative estimate could place the steam release to 3 months from now? Should they be slow in communication and they request major changes?
To reality, through nothing, from un-everything.

SpaceEngine will soon be available on steam. Now all we need to do is wait for Valve's review. But their review is very slow. At this rate, SpaceEngine is expected to appear on steam within half a month.

Thank you very much HD!  I heard there is a "professional" version which might be a bit more, which is the one I'd want to get, since it might have more features.  Any word on how much that will be?

Just bear in mind that your SE will be free if you have donated money equal to, or over the Steam price.
