So release is near? I of course won't ask when, but a steam release with workshop too? This is incredible. Thank you so much.

I hope all the complainers who were impatiently waiting for a release can eat their hats now  ;)

Lovely new feature, SpaceEngineer. Definitely makes the startscreen more professional! Kudos!

Wow. It seems like developement for this version is wrapping up! I love how everything in the starting menu will be animated. It's much nicer to look at than a random image of your previous travels., Which could be an unappealing image of tangled orbits.

That start menu just looks beautiful!
This update has come much further than I originally thought it would in 2016!

from the blog post:
"Now I am working on tutorial lessons, and after completing them, I will send SE to the Steam team for review. This is a mandatory step before release. Yes, that means that release is soon."

Yuppi!!!!!!!! :-D

you wrote also:"Set up all SE pages in Steam, enable the Workshop. Make several iterations on release preparation with Steam team (this is unavoidable)."

0.990 will it be downloadable only via steam or will the download from the site remain?

You said that you will implement steam workshop support.
How will this affect us worldbuilders and custom system makers? Will SpaceEngine be given a more user friendly method of importing custom wiki articles? The custom wiki is what I have the most worries with. Will we be able to upload our custom wikis to the workshop at all?

Yes, quite a must have, considering that animations in main menus is what every video game had since ever. In the same line of thought, it would it be interesting to add some interesting sounds in there with the music. Outer-Spacey sounds maybe like radio-transmissions or space-ship ambience.

This is amazing, my hype just reexploded. One question though, will the non-steam version you can get directly from the site be delayed until the steam version is reviewed, approved, and released or is there a chance we'll get the site version sooner?
