New planet classification

Are "lava worlds" something that could be implemented? I found a planet whose mean temperature is the melting point of silicate rock. Theoretically, its surface would probably be liquid. If so, what classification would they be?

What phase the surface materials are in does not matter to the new planet classification system, so the class of that planet would depend on what materials it's made out of, as with any other planet.

New planet classification

I'm reading this, and as old as it is, I kinda find saying... with life a bit odd... life-inhibited sounds way better and leaves less suffix after general planet classification.

Also, I'll look more about this and see what I can come up with, since really, these still sound kinda wonky to me. But I guess it's settled so it's alright :D

I'm sorry, but "inhibited" means forbidden or suppressed among others, practically a negation, how can it be a substitute for "with life"...

I think "life-bearing" may be the term you want.

Inhabited perhaps, or hospitable for life?

That doesn't mean the same thing.

You must have made at least 10 posts, then you can edit or delete your post.
