Not any that are publicly available. The first release of SE was in 2010.

Ive recently found the long lost 0.9.6.2 Patch recently. Here is a pic of its contents: Image

I have uploaded the zip to google drive. I would recommend deleting the cache folder in 0.9.6 before installing this patch. Here is the

Yea ive seen those back then on the old website. However some of the links (like the 0962 patch) didint work anymore because they eventually became deprecated.  So i had an idea. I basicly went to the web archive and went to the November 16th 2012 Space Engine website. Then it went to the 0.9.6.2 patch and i actually found a link that was still alive for it. So i downloaded it and uploaded it to google drive. Mainly because there is pretty much no working download for 0.9.6.2 patch that is on the internet from what i know.
So thats why i did this so this History forum can have pretty much all of the old releases for peaple who are interested. The only versions that are missing are the 0.9.7.4 experamental versions (witch i have) and the 0.9.1.0 Patch (witch i dont have).

How often to new public versions come out?  Once every three years I think?

About every 1-3 years so yes. Development of a new version takes a long time. Though it is very much worth the wait!

Yes they are :)  Public versions are .960, .970, .980, etc?  So .981 wouldn't be public because it is an "intermediate version."

0.981 probably will be public. Though there is some debate about weather or not to call the public version "0.9.9.0".

The time between major releases varies. 0.960, 0.970, 0.971, 0.972, and 0.980 were all major releases. Check the SE changelog in the docs folder to see when each was released.

Yea, the release date changes a lot! Sometimes it is just a few days to a year! In 2011 loads of versions came out. It is very understandable why the main versions take about a year or so.
