This has to be one of the weirdest things so I hope it can get fixed. So there was this bug where there was black rectangles on the title screen, and I wen't on the SE reddit page to fix it. It said to delete main-user.cfg. So I did, and it fixed the bug. But somehow, there was some "side effects." All my settings went back to default, when I go into the planetarium, the time says its the year 4 million or 4 billion. It also says im landed and rotating on the Sun. So now every time I start up the game, those side effects go into effect. So that means until this glitch/bug gets fixed, I have to put my settings back to what they were and go back to my previous location via Locations.

Looks like there's a lot of rendering and procedural settings in that main-user.cfg file. I guess removing it regenerated that file to all the default settings?

Ok thanks for that but I don't understand how the rest of the side effects happened or how to get rid of them.

soldies501, delete your spaceengine/config/save-user.cfg and see if it works. A new file will be generated by the default one.

JamesWebb197, I'm afraid your graphic card is the problem. You have 512MB of videoram, which is below minimum requirements , and the OpenGL version seems to be not 3.3 or newer, which is the minimum SE is using now.
Try and see if there are updated drivers for your ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470, but I wouldn't count on that.

I used to run SE on a 5870, it didn't run great but the ATI 5000 series should be capable of running it.
