I wanted to provide a link to something I found fairly useful, without the need to download large software programs or have watermarks on your pictures. This is just a web-page script so you don't really need an internet connection. Maybe you'd like to check out the HTML. Maybe everyone already knows about this page lol.

So, sometimes you might want to create a custom work of art on a flat, less distorted workspace where a Cubemap would be easier to visualize. Anyway. this will convert different map types to other styles of map types; like Cubemap (Horizontal Skybox) to Equirectangular or the reverse.

Just pick the map type and pick your map file (again nothing is uploaded, but I did have some trouble to really large files). Try it out!

Considering this can also be used offline it seems, it'll be especially useful since my data cap is going down in a week. :cry:

More great free software.  NASA's Global Map Projector is free to download.
Add overlays of your choice to a globe and save the file as one of over 120 different map projections. Uses Java 8. Wow! :shock:

Oh thanks :).
I test, doesn't take in input cubemap (or maybe I don't see where is it, I see just Equirectangular, Aitoff, Cylindrical Equal Area, Hammer, Robinson and Winkel Tripel) but there are many option in output.

i really appreciate your work sir,
can i have the source code for this because i have to convert 5281 frames back to equirectangular and doing it for every pic manually takes a lot of time

Both python package and command line tool are available.
