Hello,

i dont want to annoy, its a fantastic piece of work but i would like to know if this kind of bug is recognized by the developing team?

is it known and someone looks for this bug so we could have hope for a fix soon?! on steam forums this bug is also known and discussed but neither here or elsewhere there is some kind of feedback to this issue. it would be nice to have some feedback to this

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

Anyone recently having performance issues with spacecraft addons?  For example the ISS had little to no difference in fps but now when I go near it the fps drops to 7, this happens to all spacecraft.   I tried looking for them in steam to try remove and re-add them but I can't find where in steam to manage addons?   Also the Juno orbiter is there but invisible now. last time I ran SE Juno worked fine.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

07 Mar 2021 06:52

I'm having trouble with fullscreen - whenever I go into fullscreen, I no longer have a cursor, making it very hard to navigate menus while in fullscreen. My resolution is 1920x1080 so that shouldn't be causing me any issues. This also has been happening in the game Avorion, but not any other game I can put in fullscreen like Universe Sandbox, Worlds: History Simulator or Anno 2205 just to name a few. I've looked at the recommendations for fixing this and nothing I've tried has affected anything, from changing my window scaling to resolution to changing various mouse cursor settings. I'm using Windows 10 and according to the loading screen,  the SE version 0.990.39.1775. Anyone know a fix for this?
Hello SpacePioneer:   I also have this same problem. I have a wireless logitec mouse and when I select full screen I loose the cursor, but it works in the window screen mode, but you see the top bar (I still love the program). I hope they can fix it. I don't know if they can see my response to you. This is my 1st entry to the forum, and I'm kinda forum dumb. Can you let me know how I can get my agreement with you in front of the fixer guys?
Best Regards
Mike
This indeed is visible to anyone on the forum, so all is good on that front. As far as the issue itself, I haven't exactly found a proper fix, but at least for me, the issue seems to stem from my use of the built-in windows magnifier tool, when I close it I get my cursor back. The issue is, I need to use the magnifier, I have low vision so I have more trouble seeing small text than the average person. I also sit rather far away from my screen as my setup includes a synthesizer in front of my monitor as well as my computer keyboard. I've made up for most of the difference by just getting a very large monitor but that still leaves me with trouble seeing small text, and it's very difficult to just get closer to the screen. Thus I need the magnifier, which causes me to not have a cursor in SE. I have in fact found a few other games with the same issue, though other's don't, so I'm not sure whether the fault lies in how a game treats the cursor or how the magnifier does, or if the problem comes about because of the interaction of the two. I've yet to find a solution other than just not using the magnifier. If this is the issue for you too, and you don't need the magnifier, closing it should work.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

You may be able to fix the cursor issue by switching to software cursor rendering in SE: open the console by pressing ` (on the same key as ~ on US keyboards), and type hardwarecursor and press Enter. This will toggle hardware cursor rendering on and off. The disadvantage of using software cursor is that it updates at the program's current framerate, so if your framerate is low, the cursor will be equally laggy. But it's better than having no cursor.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

26 Mar 2021 23:07

Hello, for the last few days, whenever I try to launch SE, it only gives me a black screen after loading. I wait, and nothing ever comes up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my computer, restoring my computer, but nothing works. I have never seen anything like this before. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

Hey, i wanted to know if there is any solution to fix a problem i'm having while launching the game on Steam. Indeed, when I want to start the game, it loads for a few seconds and then just cancels the start. Can anyone help me?
(PS : I have the latest version and I've already tried to restard the computer, unistall and reinstall the game, check the files integrity and check if it was a firewall issue)

Does it happen every time you launch SpaceEngine? Someone with your graphics card and your drivers had this issue only the first time the program was launched.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

not sure if this is the right place to post this but sometimes orbit lines appear way farther out than what would normally be visible. i have no idea what causes this or how to reproduce this issue but it's affected me in both 0.980 and 0.990 on vastly different hardware setups

this is the sun as viewed from pleiades cluster, more than 100 parsecs away. note how the comets' orbital lines are still visible
Screenshot 2021-04-10 001609.jpg
upon restarting spaceengine, the orbital lines are gone, further implying that this isn't intentional no matter how long the orbital lines are. the image isn't taken from the same location but the distance from the sun is roughly equal
Screenshot 2021-04-10 001834.jpg
i unfortunately didn't catch my .log file but if i ever stumble across this issue again i'll post it.
