Depiction of Pan and Atlas (moons of Saturn) is not accurate. They are supposedly shaped like a "flying saucer", not a random asteroid. There are already images of Pan and Atlas. Please fix this!

We'd better wait until we have better images. Cassini is going to be getting close to them soon, so we'll get some better quality. Then we could try to make Pan and Atlas

In the next update I want if you speed things up stars to die and be born hot jupiters to eventually lose all their mass and volcanoes to erupt and stop erupting, and mac support

And in the next update I'd like SE to solve all environmental crises, cure all diseases, and end world poverty, but it isn't going to happen :roll:

There are many asteroids with a peculiar shape that we know of, as well as many comets, yet it's not so simple to achieve what you ask with current version of SpaceEngine. SpaceEngineer and others are working on it, and it will be fixed at due time.
For now, given the "saucer" shape, we can only use the Oblateness value published in papers and other archives, and perhaps a bit of customization via the integrated SE editor.

Auto-Synchronizing Time

Would it be possible adding the option of making SE automatically synchronizing to current time upon start-up? Even if it takes 2 seconds, having to press the "set current time" button every time I open the game is a bit annoying.

Astronaut System

Basically it makes it so you can have an avatar astronaut player guy that you can control and walk on surfaces of planets and asteroids (maybe have a jet-pack for small maneuvers). And then if you walk up to a ship you can press a key or click on it to get in and control it!

What do you think?

It would be nice if that was for the city lights, so it's an actual city. Plus, I can land in Manhattan if I wanted to.

Proper Ship Landing System

When your ship uses Autopilot to land, it's kind of annoying when it literally crashes into the surface at full speed. That's not a landing. I want a proper landing system so that the ship slows down, faces the horizon, and lowers itself slowing onto the ground.

Not unless it's procedural. If you wanted to download the entire earth at the resolution of google earth, you'd better be prepared to use Terabits of storage :)

Astronaut System

Anyways, I like the idea, and several modders have attemped to create such a thing. It would be nice to have an astronaut avatar to walk around the surface of a planet, but as Space Engine creator once said:

Not that I'm against the idea of it, but I think the title you chose for this thread is probably a bit ambiguous. Why? Advanced civilizations would probably no longer need to have roads, if they are advanced enough. Also, If you want to see the buildings as well, you'd need a pretty huge computer to see an entire city in the game without having it crash.

Again, why are you not posting your suggestions in the general suggestions thread? We your suggestions to be posted in mentioned thread to keep the forum nice and tidy. Anyways, which autopilot are you referring to? Flight assist, or, the automatic 'fly to' button? There is no action that automatically 'lands' your spacecraft on the surface.

ED supercruise flight mode but extrapolated for interstellar and intergalactic flight. I know it is not scientifically accurate and not suggesting it for the main game but for planetarium exploration with Spacecraft it would be cool I think. Here is how I think of it:
1. Near surface / inside atmosphere - disabled obviously
2. Near planet orbit - disabled probably
3. Medium / high orbit - enabled and limited to sub-luminal velocities e.g. from 30km/sec up to 1c (depending on distance and strength of gravity source)
4. Interplanetary travel within system: Superluminal 1c up to 1000c
5. Interstellar travel: 1000c (or 1kc) and up to 1Mc
6 Intergalactic: 1Mc to 1Gc

Speed will be restricted by gravity field similar to how you travel in ED (ok if you haven;t played ED you wouldn't know what I am talking about :) ). In ED max speed is limited by gravity of star system bodies. The larger bodies (i.e. stellar mass bodies) have a longer but smoother effect at much higher distances whereas smaller bodies i.e planets have a shorter but stronger effect over smaller distances.
If you keep your warp throttle within 10% - 70/75%, it auto adjusts the speed as you approach gravity sources and you don't crash on them violently. Ok you don';t crash on them even when throttle at 100% but you exit supercruise violently upon hitting a barrier gravity wall, thereby damaging your ship.
 If you move really really far away from star system, speed caps at 2000c. In SE it can continue to increase depending on local stars gravity. Within our stellar neighbor it would be around 1kc-1mc. If you fly close to the core / dense areas of galaxy it should hardly reach 1Mc. If you start moving away from the galaxy / or galactic plane where star density diminishes, you could fly > 1Megac and as you get even further into intergalactic space it can go to a max of 1 Gc (one giga c or 1 billion times the speed of light).

I know it is not realistic but it would really help when trying to explore the universe with a spacecraft. Also I have proposed this in the old forum so I am sorry for repeating it here.
