General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Now that M87 has become more popular, will it be possible for the upcoming version to represent it closer to its real look, now that it can support jets?

There is currently no way to make jets that large. They can only exist close to the black hole.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

I have a suggestion.
Add a default astronaut, and include animations for astronauts. (Even modded ones, like in DoctorOfSpace's Mod Emporium (real astronauts from NASA and ESA), or HarbingerDawn's Modding Bazaar (Space Engineers).)
We always need to add more boosters.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

As of the M87 Black Hole image taken, I went there in Space Engine and found the object to be really small in comparison to the actual object.

In Space Engine, "Powehi" (unofficial name of object) has a Schwarzchild Radius of 0.625 AU. This is tiny.

Its mass in Space Engine is 31.58 million Solar masses. Again this is tiny.

In reality, the mass of this object is around 7.22 billion solar masses and has a corresponding Schwarzchild radius of 142.57 AU.

Looked at some other ultramassive 1billion+ IRL black holes and found they were woefully low in mass.

The Sombrero Galaxy IRL has a 1 billion solar mass black hole. In SE it is 7 million.

This is a request to fix supermassive, and more specifically ultramassive black holes and give them more realistic masses.

hmm I found the galaxy M87 in Space Engine, but no listing for the black hole itself.  Unlike M81, where there is a listing both for the galaxy and for the black hole.

You can select it by clicking one of the orbiting stars around the black hole, clicking the system button to get a list of objects in that system and then clicking the black hole. That selects the black hole instead of the galaxy.

Also another idea: Make Earth have procedural clouds, since the Blue Marble clouds image is over 15 years old.

...why? Procedural clouds would be much less accurate, and Earth's clouds look basically the same now as they did 15 years ago, and 100 years ago.

The surface map is also 15 years old, does that mean we should replace it with a procedural surface?

Going by that logic, the Earth's Night Map should have never been replaced because 15 year old data is supposedly more superior than more recent data simply because planet features supposedly never ever ever change. Same for all the other textures of planets.

Will that be your argument when the GRS finally disappears from Jupiter however many decades from now (and if SE happens to still be around by then)? That it simply wouldn't be worth it to update Jupiter's textures after that because "things never change?"

Did you even read my post? I never said that things never change, and I never said that maps shouldn't be updated. I've personally been responsible for several of the updates SE has had to its solar system planet textures over the years (including the Earth's city lights map). What I said is that the age of the data is, by itself, irrelevant. If nothing has changed, or if new data is unavailable, or is of lower quality, then there is no point in getting rid of the old map.

An equally important feature like temperature that is missing is the solar irradiance a body receives from each stat in its system. It would be awesome if we could have that value displayed in the Info section. it would super useful.

Edit: I think I found a value called insolation. but no units are given...

Edit 2: Never mind I got it now, thank you, space engineer! awesome value!

I was thinking maybe a soft update/DLC with just more search parameters regarding atmospheres for the current released version.

I hope future SE can add the following functions, and it would be great if DLC could be developed.
1. Planetary terrain can allow users to customize the added PBR texture, terrain generation software produced terrain.
2. Individual illumination (lighting) can be added to the imported object.
3. Free introduction of objects
4. Gravitational lenses and jets of galaxies
5. Functions that can handle multiple Galaxy models, such as interacting galaxies, irregular galaxies, and special galaxies.
6. Object markers. You can draw an arrow mark on some celestial bodies and mark some words.
7. Increase more lighting types, such as spot lighting and area lighting.
8.Planetary Surface Vehicle, Lunar Vehicle-like Tool
9.A Tool for 360 Degree Rotation Control of Imported Model
10.Imported spacecraft and other 3D models can record the location of tools, such as, we fly the spacecraft or model to a certain location, we can use tools to record the location as an icon, the next point of this icon can reach this location.
11.Tools that can derive displacement textures and various textures
12.3D cloud
13.Light and Shadow of 3D Cloud
14.Light and Shadow of Objects
