EiS

(These are animated gifs. It may take a moment for them to load properly.)

I am on a planet and see this.

I turn to the left and I see this:

With a field of view of 75 degrees I see that.

How is the system constructed?
(It's from a dream.)
Maybe this :

Maybe this :
No.
How should this work?
The orbits in my system comply with Kepler's laws. [hr] Although it is probably not very stable !

You said the system, you have see in your dream so maybe the system is unrealist so it is the planet very oblique like Uranus and create this effect ?

Quarior,
in my dream it was very unrealistic. But I've tried to make it as realistic as possible.

For example, the planet was egg shaped, gravitationally deformed by another object.
But I do not know how to create this in a realistic system.

So, i still ask only about addon Alternate Sol System. I search procedural Sol System. And I find only Starlight Glimmer addon.
I had made some in the old forum.
Here are some.

Procedural solar system:
ProcSolSys.sc
(26.53 KiB) Downloaded 632 times
(Put in 'addons\catalogs\planets')
Link to old forum http://old.spaceengine.org/forum/17-325 ... 1466364751

Total procedural solar system:
TPSolDC.sc
(275 Bytes) Downloaded 588 times
(Put in 'addons\catalogs\stars')
TPSolSys.sc
(29.96 KiB) Downloaded 636 times
(Put in 'addons\catalogs\planets')
All objects have a 'P.' Before the name, so 'P.Sol', 'P.Earth' and so on.
Link to old forum http://old.spaceengine.org/forum/17-343 ... 1468156760

Procedural Earth:
ProcEarth.sc
(4.2 KiB) Downloaded 571 times
(Put in 'addons\catalogs\planets')

However, I do not know if they work properly with SE 0.980.

I don't know me too, I don't visit your dream :D.
So I don't know how you create your system but look forward to visit.

JackDole, Thank you very much for your help on Epsilon Eridani and HD 10180 b mods. They work really great. I wonder which works best for making .sc and .pak files, like Microsoft Windows Wordpad or even Wordpad++ from Cnet.com? I can see that SE 0.980 sometimes automatically return .sc files containing unconfirmed exoplanets (more than 2) back to SE's export folder and especially resetting the valves for ArgOfPericenter and MeanAnomaly back to zero if one tries to center a giant cyclone on exoplanet's dayside.
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz 4-Core Processor; RAM: Ballistix 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-2400 memory; GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB FTW Gaming ACX 2.0+; and Windows 10 64-bit

I think many people here use 'Notepad ++'.
I myself use another editor called 'SciTE'. But you have to get used to this editor, it has to be configured practically by hand.
I have not observed that yet. Can you give an example of this?

I had deleted the .sc file for HD 10180 j accidentally and had to remake a new .sc for that exoplanet in the HP 10180 (or HIP 7599). I was unable to repeat the problem about SE 0.980 moving the files back into its export folder when it detects unconfirmed exoplanets again. This time my script model works fine for that exosolar system.

I was very interested in that exosolar system HP 10180 because it was the first to have "Systems of Tightly-packed Inner Planets" (STIP's) before the Kepler Space Telescope Mission was launched. HP 10180 once resembled our own Solar System in the earliest beginnings with Super-Earths and massive planetesimals when Planet Jupiter once formed at 3 A.U. and migrated inward to demolish those 1st generation planets before being pulled back by Saturn in 2:3 resonance in the Grand Tack event. Our terrestrial planets formed from the resulted debris ring shortly after...very unique. I did find that many of exoplanets in the SE does have both "off -center" and "dead on-center" cyclones. I don't understand why. The programing in SE has reseted ArgOfPericenter to zero but keep numbers for MeanAnomaly in most of my .sc files when I looked at them in SE's planet editor. Best example for "off-center" cyclones is HD 20794 (82 Eridani) b,c,& d and for "dead on-center' cyclones is Kepler-90 b & e.

Tau Ceti with four possible exoplanets.

The pictures are from SE 0.971. In SE 0.980 the planets will look different.

I have problems with the values for 'ArgOfPericen' and 'MeanAnomaly'. They are supposed to be in 'rad' (radians), but when I convert the values to degrees, I get values that are partialy greater than 360 degrees. I have no idea why this is so.
Parameters  t Ceti g                t Ceti h                t Ceti e                t Ceti f

I have introduced the 'Mass' parameter myself, because in my opinion, SE partly calculates too large values from 'M sin i'.

Tau Ceti e and f with life.

Unfortunately only in SE 0.971

If you want to try it with SE 0.980, put the attached '.sc' file in 'addons\catalogs\planets'
You also need this '.pak' file. It belongs in the 'addons' folder.

Trigun: Planet Gunsmoke / No Man's Land

I have seen the anime 'Trigun' these days. So I tried to create the planet 'Gunsmoke' and its moons.

sieben.png
The pictures are from SE 0.971. In SE 0.980 the planet and its moons may look different.

It would however interest me as it looks in SE 0.980.
If you want to try it, put the attached file in 'addons\catalogs\planets'.

The planet orbits the suns 'Del Tri A' and 'Del Tri B'.
If you make use of another addon that uses 'Del Tri', it will not work well.

JackDole, your Tau Ceti system with four confirmed exoplanets (as reported in www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/08/170817095549.htm) look very interesting. I did notice one funny difference with Tau Ceti f's atmospheric pressure...in your posted photo the planet was "temperature terra" and had 1.2916 bars of atmosphere; whereas in SE 0.980 the planet is transformed into "hot desert" and had 889 bars of atmosphere. I don't know if it was a error in the pak file.
