JediTrekkie's Addons

18 Jul 2017 15:51

A place where I'll upload a select few of my personal add-ons. I make a lot of them ranging from hypothetical planets and/or moon, to purely fictional systems. Not all of them are great so I won't upload EVRY add-on I make.

First upload: Reos system. it just a recreation of a procedural system from version 0.972 recreated for 0.980.
Put Reos.sc in calalogs/stars folders and Reos system in catalogs/planets. if you still use 0.972, the coordinates are RS 0-8-3894334-2014-21-7-1946361-226.

Not bad. Do you have any starship mods?

I'm afraid not. my knowledge of scripting is very limited. my addons will be stars and planets only... at least for the time being.

You can make some easily using the SpaceCraft Editor programmed by SpaceEngineer.
Here's the link: Online spacecraft editor

The editor is not programmed by SpaceEngineer but by ePayload. (SHW in the old forum)

I've made multiple versions of this next add-on, but this one is the best so far. Ran (Epsilon Eridani) has one known planet, Aegir (Epsilon Eridani b). this add-on adds 4 fictional planets and 3 fictional moons to the epsilon eridani system.

HELIOS SYSTEM
An (Almost) exact replication of our own solar system but the objects have Greek names rather than Roman names. it lies on the exact opposite side of the galaxy.
I Replicated the 8 planets, 7 major moons (8 if counting Charon) and 5 major Dwarf Planets. I also added 4 moons around Cronus (Saturn's equivalent) that have no equivalents Around Saturn.
Greek Twin - Helios goes in Catalog/Stars and Greek Twin - Helios system goes in Catalogs/Planets.
I may update this later on by, perhaps making an equivalent of planet 9 and other hypothetical objects.
if there is something you want me to add, let me know. you could even add your own planets. ENJOY

this is the Gojira system. (Yes I named it for Godzilla cuz I can)
Its a binary system 11 billion years old with a red giant (once a sun-like star) and a red dwarf.
Gojira Barycenter.sc goes in addons/catalogs/stars and Gojira system.sc goes in addons/catalogs/planets.
this addon also requires the Atmospheres 2.0 addon because this mod uses atmosphere models from the addon found here: http://forum.spaceengine.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=180.

Alright, it has been a while and I felt like uploading something so I can keep working on my big Addon.
So, I moved Jupiter to where Earth would be and I put Earth in orbit around Jupiter. This is kind of a parallel universe where Jupiter migrated inwards and captured Earth. In such a scenario, Mars and the asteroid belt probably would be ejected but I was too lazy to remove them. place the file in Addons>Catalogs>Planets and enjoy!

It's been a while since I uploaded something, so here you go. I recently watched "Invasion of Astro-Monster" AKA "Godzilla vs Monster Zero" so I decided to create Planet X which was located behind Jupiter. I placed it at Jupiter's L2 point. add the file to addons>catalogs>planets.

Too bad that this does not work properly with SE 0.980_e, as this version of SE introduced realistic orbit corrections for planets. (To enable realistic eclipses.)

Therefore, the planet in SE 0.980_e is not exactly behind Jupiter.
scr00033.jpg

In SE 0.980, the planet is just beyond Jupiter, and therefore lies in eternal darkness.
scr00016.jpg

Due to a bug in SE 0.980, the script does not work unchanged with this version of SE. (I assume it's a bug.)
The line
Precession 0

must be removed from the script.
(I simply commented it out.)
