Rodrigos Terrain & Clouds Mod

19 May 2017 19:17

This is a modification to terrain and clouds in terras, deserts, titans, selenas and icyworlds. My goal was to increase realism by including mode terrain variations and an attempt to create a more "earth-like" pattern to the clouds

Pluto-like terrain

Enceladus-like

Europa-like

Rugged terrain/valleys

Subtle eroded terrain & mesas

And lots of small stuff... different types of mountains, modification to canyons and other details....this took me a while to create

To install, move rodrigosmod.pak to spaceengine/addons

i recommend editing main-user.cfg file located in spaceengine/config, changing the PlanetDetailTerra value to 0.003

Here´s the PAK file. This is the last update to correct the spiky terrain bug.

If you want the version without any rocks effects, download rodrigosmodnorocks.pak

UPDATE;
Small bugs fixed

Added 0.9.8.1 version

I can't tell if it's working or not

open with a simple text editor like notepad.
you can also use a better editor like notepad++

I have an idea, I think you should update this or make a mod to have volumetric/3d clouds!

I'm guessing that you have no idea how difficult that would be to do.
