You need 10 posts to make a new thread, as stated in the forum rules.

SCU, I just tested HD and ultra mod for the first time. They don't have much sense and mb cost is insanely high for that small look increase they give. There is no conflict for Earth, Moon and Mars cause I didn't change their directories. But Venus has that conflict cause I completely rewritten it. As for other objects - you don't need HD mod for them at all cause mine does the same and better thing.

Okay, thank you my friend! Actually do you know about a mod that gives better details/textures for Earth (and others in solar system) at ground level?

Doesn't exist. We all waiting for Engineer to make the procedural refinement for mapped worlds. He has it in plans but years will pass before he makes it.

What do you mean by putting it in the "Space Engine folder, with replacing"?

Hello

Thank you for the great mod :)
I am writing because apparently the files of this mod conflict with the recent patch 9.8.0e.
The config files contradict, using the official patch files causes some texture glitches at least on Io, and probably everywhere else.

Could you please take a look at the issue and posssibly, update the mod?

Thank you in advance

Most probably not, but as you said let's keep on :)

I have a huge problem with draconian techniques of RIAA and MPAA.  And it backfired on them and they got their just desserts when they were hacked- they fully deserved it after what they were doing to people.  As long as you don't profit of something you made, you should not be in violation of any "copyrights."  I am 100% for the full and free spread of information.

Also Venus has no dawn because the atmosphere is so thick there's diffuse lighting everywhere on the day side.

And if you land on my Venus you will see it has no dawn too. Why? Because the clouds. You forgot we are talking about pure atmosphere file, without clouds and this atmosphere serves not only 1 planet, but many others also, which might have for example 10 times earth-pressure, not 92 and such planet WILL have dawn.

I get your point. Nobody must create mods, nobody have rights, everyone must live in fear. Keep on, bra. I will not, thx.

Thats nonsense.  You have your rights.  Dont live in fear.  Freely distribute as you please.

He's not really active as of lately. Rumor has that indeed distributed freely as he pleased.

Funny thing is that as long as you give credit to the developer, you don't get punished for distributing content for free.  It's when big corporate entities and their lawyers get involved and install spyware that problems begin.  It's why I was so happy when Sony got hacked, they had it coming.
