No idea, but they look a lot like spaces. I suggest you to open your script with a program like notepad++ if you're using something else and delete/redo spaces in those lines.

the problems seem to have been caused mainly by the scripts 'MySystem.sc' and 'mystars.sc'.
Maybe you should post them here for someone to look at them.

The model being full of errors is that why SE would not create the files after loading?
No, I don't think. The errors in the model were related to normals (the direction of the surfaces), this would have made it seem strange and full of holes, but the .sm file would have been created. In addition, the model was very small. Without adapting the scale in SE it would have been less than 3 meters in length.
What program do you use? How did you spot all of the errors???
I use Blender. It's a very powerful program and it's free :-D there are many tutorials about blender in youtube, so it's easy enough to learn...
Def make the video! It will help a lot of people
I don't think I can make a video. I'm Italian and my English pronunciation is terrible :-D Moreover I have some problems with my video capture software when I use blender (I don't know why).
I was thinking of doing a step by step guide with images, or a video in my language and then get it subtitled by some other willing user who doesn't need to consult google trad at every sentence :-D
I still cant get my models to show up.. I hope someone makes a video. you could translate in the video with subtitles maybe?  I was very impressed how quick you did that and it did help me understand a bit more but still can not get my ships to show up. That model was one that I just found and didn't create. The original in 3d viewer didn't have the blocky edges so I didn't realize the errors. I purchased 3d max though and they were very apparent. I don't like blender too well. 3d max is very powerful and a much easier interface in my opinion. I am redoing the model that you fixed for me into the pak file and it looks a lot better but it still has that blocky look. I am still learning the program. I hope to smooth the model out once I figure it out so that the shape is completely fluid and life  like just as it looks in the 3d viewer that I have. For instance the cylinder portions are long blocks instead of a perfect cylinder. well you saw it. That's not how it looked in the 3d viewer. When I used blender it was apparent though and even worse showing the errors in 3d max. Yes I couldn't get the sm files or anything. Now I took your pack and opened it and used your obj and mtl and for some reason it did create the files. But now I'm stuck there. Even with the files I am doing something wrong. I noticed in your sss all the description of the model and what not but when I try I cant find those descriptions to properly make the sss out of the files. I cant seem to find the same info that you have for the modules and materials. I unpaked your pak and just tried under a different name to see if I can do it and I still cant.. I really want to learn this back bc I have models ive made that are  high quality. I was just using that to learn since it didn't involve all the textures. I really hope you decide to make that. That was very cool of you and awesome how quick you figured out the issue.

The scripts in mysystem.sc and mystars.sc work perfectly fine.
The only spaces in them are the important ones.

The scripts in mysystem.sc and mystars.sc work perfectly fine.
Your se.log says something else.
There is an editor that produces invisible superfluous characters in a text. I do not know which editor that is, but I have often encountered this problem in the forum with the scripts of other people.
If you copy and paste the text, these invisible characters will probably not be copied. Therefore, you should attach your original files here, so that can be checked.

 it does not show up in Space Engine
The absolute magnitude value is too high for a galaxy. It's a very big, very near, very dark elliptical galaxy :)
Here's a screenshot of your galaxy as seen from Earth, but with an absolute magnitude of around -16.

Someone please have a look and see what I am doing wrong. I updated a model that someone helped me make a pak because I cant figure out still how to import ships. I finally used his pak of the model, obj, and ssc to redo it all and get the model to show up on my own, so I updated the model in 3d max because it was poor quality with errors and tried to convert the obj using what was for sure the proper file path and instruction and they will not load the updated model. so I am back where I started. I even used his ssc and mtl since it was  the same model updated and it didn't work with his path which works if I use the old obj... Does 3d max mtl not work and force you to create  your own material library or am I somehow doing something wrong in the program. For like4 days solid ive been trying to get this down. I uploaded txt files because the site wouldn't let me upload the actual obj and mtl themselves. I can get his pak to show up but nothing I try on my own. Maybe someone can figure out what it is that I am doing wrong. Whether it is in the program or improper code, idk. Last is the pak file that he helped me with that I used as a template and works

I downloaded your obj and imported in SE without problems... it took 3 minutes so the problem it isn't the file...


let's analyze step by step:

did you copy obj in addons/models/spacecraft/what_you_want folder?

did you copy mtl in addons/textures/spacecraft/what_you_want folder?

did you create sss file in addons/models/spacecraft/what_you_want folder?

in sss file did you write the correct path for cfg file? 
is this line: Module  "Main"  { "what_you_want/name_of_the_obj_file.cfg" (1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1) }

at this point, in addons/models/spacecraft/what_you_want folder you have 2 files: the obj and the sss with the same name, in addons/textures/spacecraft/what_you_want folder you have only one file, the mtl with the same name of obj and sss

Now you can open Space Engine and create your new ship. SE load your obj, convert it in sm and create cfg and sml files.

I downloaded your obj and imported in SE without problems... it took 3 minutes so the problem it isn't the file...

I used your template even removed the pak and deleted cache...addons/tornado/spacecraft/shuttle/tornado..same w textures. Obj in right folder w sss, and the mtl in right folder in textures.. So if has to be in my code somewhere.. this is the sss I made also using yours al template.                        Name    "Tornado"

Oh wow I did it!!!!  Guess what the problem was.. I was not giving it enough time to load the new model and just because I didn't see anything at fist within the fist 30 seconds I would exit and no files were made.. I let it run for a min and it stopped loading and boom it showed up and files are in place... Thank you very much. I am sure I will have more questions concerning coding in the future. This lines are information about position of the cameras created with editor in the program. are written by SE
 Also how do you figure out Quat. when (0.70710678 0 -0.70710678 0)
Like before. Quat contains information about orientation of model. They are written by the ship editor of SE
Likewise in the cfg file you can see the information about engine effects created with ship editor.
And how do you manually make a materials library for future reference?
Space Engine use old material like a library: if, in a sml file, you assign to a material the same name of a material contained in an older sml file, SE use the information contained in the oldest file.

How do you rescale or resize an imported model in SE? can you do it in the sss file or have to go back into an editor itself?
open the editor with shift+f2 and select module settings. at the bottom its the size settings, defined in the x, y, and z axis

Thanks I got that one down a bit easier. Although I am learning that its much better to do it to scale before importing... I still have not figured out how to add the exhaust lighting though for the engines? is that a code thing and do I have to figure out the exact mesh location and specify code for that?
And is SE is done in meter scale correct? so when a ship in editor says length or in an ssc that in meter?
