DoctorOfSpace, Thank You so much for these warp shader modifications! I will test them asap I get home from work. All I hope now is that they work with plain SE 0980 as I am not using the 0980e because I have graphical glitces with this version, and obviously I am not in the beta 0990 group.

As for your ST and Alien ships revamp I am anxiously awaiting for your release!

Ship warp shader should work with any of those versions so you should be fine.

I am thinking about releasing the alien ships soon, or maybe holding out for 0.9.9.0 and doing a bunch of mods updated at once.  Most of my current addons, alien ships included, are setup for 0.9.9.0.

I'm loving the Galaxy X Enterprise (the tri-nacelle one, just in case ya didn't know). Nice work Doc

N0B0DY, a while back you asked me to do a minimalist warp shader or one that you could still pilot with.

I messed around with an old shader edit of mine where I distorted the warp effect into a Star Trek Beyond like stretched effect

You can see it here
Doctor do you, by any chance, happen to have this Star Trek Beyond style shader in your PC? I want to give it a try and see how it looks from cockpit view. It will look gorgeous with your upcoming new star trek pack.

Better hold Doc! I have a gut feeling 0990 release will be soon[sup]tm[/sup].

You can make it with the shader I posted and playing with the numbers at the top section.

I loved your mods of the Avatar and the Star Trek...I am the fan of both Avatar and Star Trek! Your work is VERY EXCELLENT!!  :D   I wondered if anybody has published the mods on the science fiction DUNE worlds yet.

New ship for the Trek pack, guesstimated at size and weight since no official ones have been provided or could be found.  Made it a bit larger than a Miranda class

The U.S.S. Shenzhou from that terrible new show STD
Have a good size, bit smaller saucer than the classic Connie, but no way are these ships from the same era, absolute nonsense.

That ship looks nice, but only if the weird dish in the front was removed.

Three things. 1. Awesome work making these ships. 2. These cars were made not only in the same era, but the same year. ImageImage

ineedmyspace, one of your images was a duplicate and the other two you copied the Google link and not the direct link.  I have fixed your embedding.

I don't see an issue with those cars given the time and materials they were made from.  The problem with the ships in Discovery is they just don't match the look or designs of the ships in TOS.
You could make the argument that the Shenzhou is a hold over from the Enterprise era and shortly after, but the nacelle design is more akin to that of a ship out of the 24th or 25th century instead of the 22nd or 23rd.

Wow! Where did you get the model?

Lovely model of a cool looking ship, but totally agree that it's incongrouous as heck.

Destructor1701, blendswap and the creator allows it to be used and shared so that is quite nice.  Will be included with the Trek mod in the future, hoping someone eventually does a model of Discovery.

I don't see an issue with those cars given the time and materials they were made from. The third vehicle was a 1978 Lamborghini Countach. Completely  different designs, materials and layout.

ineedmyspace, that still doesn't really support your point.  I can look at most vehicles, including the 3 you posted, and roughly figure out the decade they came out in.  They are clearly products of their time.

When viewing the Shenzhou it does not look like it belongs in the 2250s.  The Cage takes place in 2254, the only ship they really show is the Enterprise, STD starts in 2256 and the first ship we see is the Shenzhou.  These two ships look absolutely nothing alike, setting them side by side it is impossible to see them coming out of the same era.  However if I recall they did say that Walker class vessels were already a bit out of date and I am willing to accept that, but the nacelle design is wrong for the time period.  Rectangular nacelles as far as any Trek has shown us were not a thing until the 2270s at the earliest with the refitting of the Enterprise.

I don't mind the Shenzhou, it is a nice ship, but it most definitely does not fit the time period and there is no way for them to really explain it in the prime timeline lore.
Here is a rough mockup with how the ship would look with period correct nacelles

It wouldn't take much to make the ship match the time period of the 2160s through the 2250s.

The back-swept deflector is a little strange for the period, too - but then Enterprise's Squished deflector on the NX-01 was already weird:

Image
(Yes, I know it's literally the TOS deflector vertically squished)
Note: I'm not saying this as some kind of defence of the Shenzhou's place in canon - count Star Trek Enterprise as a canon mis-step too, but nowhere near as egregious as Discovery has been. They threw out the baby and kept the bathwater.
