No meteors visible here through the clouds and rain, but that's okay because it has been more than 50 days since our last measurable rain.  Plus it's blowing all the smoke out of here. :)

I saw a really bright meteor through the fog!  Imagine how great the show would have been with a clear sky and no moon!

Yep, I've been thinking the same thing... hopefully it just wasn't updated since SpaceEngineer forgot.

hey! so I was always (almost to age 5) was interesting in aircrafts! and TBH I thought it might have been some faze, but i got back into knowing planes a little more and I'm still so hooked on them! as of today it is currently my birthday.
as an early gift my mother got me X-plane 11. a plane simulator, and a very accurate one id say too!
for about 3 days I've been using it, and I I'm SO hooked.
would it be okay to post some of this stuff in off topic discussion. "yes" said: Watsisname.
so here are some screenshots and a video :D

As for the video, SE wouldn't allow the file, so i had to put it on youtube, but youtube wouldn't allow vids over 10 minutes for me :/ so its sped up. by id say 2x. sorry about that.
and also there's a part where i start up the APU and the arrow is pointing under the meter. i would fix that.... but I'm too lazy xD.

Are you planning to join aeronautics? A friend of mine did so and she'll probably have a nice career  :)

Nice simulator, anyway!

aeronautics well be a good idea for a course in understanding the way a plane can fly in weather, wind ect. if I love what's happening (and so far I have still been loving it) I will be taking flight courses as well such as this -> http://www.airrichelieu.com/en/?gclid=CjwKEAjwxJnNBRCMqNXM6vKAq1wSJADxf_5BZi3gzn4B9zz30PXgGzKF8JAbCkQpJqP2ZYzJoMQdBhoCY7nw_wcB
ill see what they have for me in high school first, and ill go from there.
for now ill just stick with the sim as it gives me a good understanding on how to fly. and even with little wind and clear weather. my turning, descending, landing need some more work :P. and taxiing too (clearly as you can see in the vid) xD

thank you! :)

so far i have not been able to get ships into SE, not sure why
may have to give up and just use element 3d since no one seems to want to help.
they look better in there anyway with the pbr and AO

What problems are you having specifically?  If your end goal is realistic looking renders then a program like Element 3D would be the better option anyway.

i get to the build stage, it builds but is invisible.
tried with several models using different modded scripts.
also the sm file isn't being created like stated in the "tutorial"
im sure its a minor issue, i uploaded one file to the mod help thread.

the end goal was to share some unique models

kipster, if the SM file isn't being generated then your obj/mtl files aren't correct or your directory isn't correct.

thanks,
i re-exported using 3ds max instead and re-did the directories
now the only problem seems to be scale, things are either too big or too small.

suddenly i do not want this to be over. not to see all the friends in the same place at the same time anymore...
suddenly i can understand my parents when they say they would go back to school if they could even with homeworks and tests  :)  :(

Easy fix.  In the ship config file set the unit size to 0, set the length to the correct number in the "sss" file in the models directory, engine will correct the unit for you.

simple solution is for you and your friends to decide to flunk your classes and repeat your year :)

Earthquake in NK easily visible on my seismometer today. The reported M6.3 may be slightly exaggerated, but this is unlike anything previously in NK and claims about a hydrogen bomb might be true this time.
