Power requirements: 3200W (I will need to shut off everything else in the house to keep the electric bill under control)
That should only apply when running in full power mode.
For Christmas this year I would like a deep learning AI computer for my laboratory and the NVIDIA DGX-1 will do just nicely I think.
If you are serious about that then yeah it is a good option.

NVIDIA DGX-1
A perfect computer for playing Minecraft, I guess.

I have a better idea- stop consuming meat.  It will keep you from ever getting Mad Cow disease- and a whole host of other things, reduce your carbon footprint and save some animals.

Actually that's rather cheap- compared to the price of a house.  Everything is relative ;-)

I love it, but it seems to be working fine even without the battery backup- do you keep a freshly charged battery in yours?
By UPS I mean I use an external battery

Heh, guess what? I was doing some spring cleaning this weekend and found that I had actually purchased a new battery for my UPS back in 2014 but never installed it!  Do you think it would still work fine?  I buy a lot of stuff and then get preoccupied with work or another project and then forget to install it.  I wouldn't be surprised if I have an EVGA GTX 1080 lying around somewhere and I don't even know it ;-) (Not even joking, I have a lot of EVGA video cards and power supplies that I haven't used, as well as products from MSI, Corsair and Crucial.)

If the battery has lost its charge it won't work, but otherwise it should

How does one have that happen?  I could do with some spare PC components.

I just get excited when I see a new product I buy it, and then I forget about it.  Some of my stuff is still NIB (new in box).  I'll see what I have if you're serious and send it for free (I don't do online buying/selling since I don't have a paypal.)
I'm going to do a new PC build this summer, spent a lot of time this spring with home renovations- which is how I found all these boxes that hadn't been opened.  I just put them in a spare room and completely forgot about them.

I went on a bit of a spending spree to get my mind off of things after my dad passed away in 2014 which is when I bought a lot of stuff that I never used.  The really ironic thing was I found out after he passed away that he was the same way- he bought a lot of new clothes from catalogs and we found them still in their original boxes.  Even presents he got from us and his friends, he'd keep them in really good shape but he never used anything.  I guess he was worried that if he used something it would get ruined somehow so he just kept everything in new condition by not using it at all.  I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree (although I just outright forget that I bought stuff.)

That sounds like a very expensive habit, sorry about your dad though.

Thanks, the "anniversary" (though I don't call it that) actually comes up in May.
I try to do a new computer build every 3-5 years.  It's about how long a power supply lasts for me before it blows a circuit.
PS It's even more expensive when it comes to my other 2 hobbies- astronomy and photography.  It's one thing when it's computers, you can get relatively close to state of the art without breaking your budget, but imagine when it comes to telescopes and cameras lol.  Telescopes actually retain their quality for a long period of time (there is no real breakthrough when the laws of physics limit what you can do with aperture and portability, but you pay for it with the amount you spend for a stable mount), but with cameras the sensors greatly improve every 5 years or so, so I get new camera gear about as frequently as building a new computer.

I do photography as a hobby, I know exactly how expensive it can get.

As with telescopes, we end up getting different types of cameras for different needs.  Currently I have two DSLR/mirrorless bodies, two superzooms and a compact camera, as well as a planetary camera, each has a different role.  As far as telescopes are concerned, I have an SCT, a MAK, and three refractors (no pure reflectors as of right now- I don't like the idea of having to recoat the mirrors, as I live near the beach.)
