That precision boost overdrive feature I was talking about.
Asus have a good article on how it works and how to use their implementation of it.

Thats what I do too, I leave it on some of the time and turn it off at other times. I guess in the long run it really doesn't affect it negatively one way or the other.
Oh really, how many have been built since, what were there specs, and what were they meant for?I've built more computers since then.
What do you not like about windows 10 that prevents you from using it, and what will you be using after Windows 7 reaches EOL?Because I don't like or trust Windows 10 and I will probably never use it for my own PC.
I don't remember.
The two that I can remember clearly, both had a Ryzen 2600X, one had a GTX 1060 6 GB, and one had a GTX 1050 Ti.
One was a mid-budget gaming PC, and one was a general-use PC that could do a little of everything, but especially photo archiving.
I have a ton of problems with Windows 10, more than I want to bother going into right now, but for example I had problems with it randomly deleting files on other drives during the one time that I tried to use it on my PC, which I remember being a big problem at the time.
Haven't decided yet.
Um... thanks?
Because it wasn't stable at 3200 (probably a mobo or CPU issue, it's all first-gen AM4 stuff).
Very rarely, but it's nice to have.
I wonder if Asus bios can handle it, I went into their options and saw that as a selection (the highest option is DDR4-4200).I think that would be a massive challenge to get it to run at spec. Remember the IMC is half the equation, and if it doesn't want to go that fast then the ram wont either.
Yeah, just remember that your computer will only use the amount of memory it is coded to, no-more, no less. Also, RAM numbers can be a bit misleading because programs like Windows will permanently use up a given amount of RAM, leaving whatever is left behind for use in games and the like. That's why I disliked Windows 10 so much - it ate up 3 gigabytes of my RAM.
