Elon Musk made a major announcement today- travel around the world and to Mars in much less time than previously expected.

Is it too late to include a teapot along with the car?

It's time to move the marker up another point on the skeptics guide to SpaceX

Falcon heavy was a success.

Anybody got any news on the core booster? Did it land on the mobile platform successfully? The video was cut just secs before touchdown :(
I was a skeptic. And I must admit I am impressed. It was the 1st time I clapped loud about a Space-X mission.

All landers successfully landed, nice job SpaceX.
But about the last object in orbit, what is it ?

One second before the video cut there was a lot of smoke.  The view was filled in just a single frame.  It's hard to tell what happened.

Let's hope it will keep moving.. I'm so optimistic about the future, no matter what happened to the core part...
Congrats SpaceX!

EDIT: I just read in one discussion that they announced center core was lost. Never mind, still a great success. We'll see how about final burn after 6 hour coast.

Congratulations to SpaceX! The livestream was amazing!

And there were 2+ million live views which makes it even more amazing! :) Now, we have the Tesla Roadster and the "Starman" in the orbit, can't wait to see the aftermath!

I have no clue how long this stream will go on for.

Hornblower, in a few Discords we were trying to guess on how long it would be powered if it is operating off the Tesla battery.

Most likely stream will cut out in a day or two, but if it is powered by the Tesla battery it could potentially run for months

Man! I told Elon Musk to put some solar shingles on that thing
