using spaceengine we even corrected some of NASA's early press release images, since we noticed that Orion on their images looked different to ours (ESO), from Trappist-1 point of view. I checked trappist-1 position on the catalogue files of SE and it all looked correct, so we prompted them, and upon checking they had their coordinates for Trappist-1 wrong (they were using Uniview), and then corrected it!
SpaceEngine being used as a tool for science and education is an awesome thing

Also, the planets's temperatures seem only slightly colder than normal. When my system generated, planet B was 123 C (hot Oceania), and planets D-F were terras (but still pretty cold)

If you're thinking about changing the star's temperature, make it a very small change.

3 of which are in the habitable zone
It's too bad they are almost certainly uninhabitable.

Here is my version of the addon. I have no clue how to fix the axis of rotation of the central star.

I just finished my own version of this system and only then saw another already exists.
I recreated NASA arts via SE but the star must have incorrect characteristics for that.

Now I am confused  :? . After so many people crated so many addons for TRAPPIS, I don't know which one to choose. This does not mean that I want to show disrespect for peoples work but since I am not an astronomer I am simply confused. Any help in choosing a scientifically accurate pak would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for uploading the new planets so quickly. This site is awesome!

So these seven new planets in addition to the ones announced last summer, brings us to ten habitable planets in TRAPPIST-1. What a find!

Seven is the total number of planets, four of which are newly discovered, and only three of the planets are in the habitable zone.
Space is too big to understand, so do not try to understand.

The same here, but, since we're not astronomers, maybe an addon by an astronomer is our best bet. :D

On a serious note, I think most of them are scientifically accurate, largely because we know almost nothing about the new planets. Maybe you just need to try them out and pick your favorite impression.

I think all are 'accurate', as long as original masses, radii and orbital elements of a planets and the parent star's parameters keep unchanged.

I am new here, and new to Space Engine, so please excuse any forum faux pas I may commit.  But I'd like to say how impressed and excited I am that you've already begun work on adding the Trappist system bodies!

In keeping with this thread topic, I'd like to point out this site, which, for anyone unfamiliar with it, may prove quite interesting.  It's a NASA project to essentially open-source exoplanet (or more accurately, nearby undiscovered large bodies) as referenced in this NASA press release:
NASA is inviting the public to help search for possible undiscovered worlds in the outer reaches of our solar system and in neighboring interstellar space. A new website, called Backyard Worlds: Planet 9, lets everyone participate in the search by viewing brief movies made from images captured by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission. The movies highlight objects that have gradually moved across the sky.
It seems sequestration and years of slashing NASA's budget is opening some doors for the general public!
I like space, and I cannot lie.

This might not be the right place for this post, but I thought I would post it here because it pertains to this particular thread about this add-on. There’s a bug in the TRAPPIST-1 add-on PAK file created by the SpaceEngineer. The planet TRAPPIST-1 d has an orbital period of about 4.05 hours, not 18.202 days. Again I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. ;)
