Universe Sandbox 2 to Space Engine File Conversion (Suggestion)

It's hard because coordinates are very different, in US2 there is a 0:0 point in the middle and everything has a position, in SE objects have declination/right ascension/distance etc., you'll need to input those values before the conversion. If I could see a US2 simulation file and study it I could...

Universe Sandbox 2 to Space Engine File Conversion (Suggestion)

Is anyone willing to make a program that can take Universe Sandbox 2 simulation files, read the celestial bodies' properties inside, and convert it into code that Space Engine can read?

Is it possible to convert a Universe Sandbox simulation into a Star System file readable for SE?

Anyone willing to do that? Would it be OK from you if I took this discussion to Addons?

Is it possible to convert a Universe Sandbox simulation into a Star System file readable for SE?

Apparently, if you dig deep enough into a US2 simulation file, you get to a point where you can change the properties of a body. But, could you read those properties and change it into a format readable by SpaceEngine using a program?

1. Those aren't mods, you're linking images and wikis for shows unrelated to SE.
2. You can edit your post, each mod doesn't need to be a separate comment.

Scanning every star/planet in the SE universe?

This can be easily calculated. Take your scan time, divide on number of cores and Ghz, and you'll see the scanning performance. Then multiply on supercomputer specs... I had answered this several times on this forum and on the old one. Scanning the single galaxy would take millions of years even fo...

Physical simulation of the space engine

Is there something "off" with the scale of things? For example I'm trying to recreate the transit of Mercury as seen in this actual image. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Gibaxh9x7O0/maxresdefault.jpg however is SE, if I move away from Mercury far enough to make it appear as small as that in the i...

Nebula change after updates

When the game updates, nebula break leading to scenes that are much more different than how they're meant to look. I can choose a planet in a red nebula, and the game can update and change the model used. Why do nebula break but not planets and such?

Methuselah is not in SpaceEngine, why not?

Hmm, Methuselah (the one already in SE) shows up as being 700 million years old instead of ~14 billion years old.

I wanted to post this research I was reading about connecting toxic waste dump sites and autism clusters in the state of NJ.  Scientists working for the state came up with a map to show how close autism clusters are to these toxic waste sites.  DuPont was one of the violators; they dumped and hid i...

Supernova?

Did you know that you can make your own supernova? The University of Oxford scietists showed the whole process. Can't find the article by Phys (dot) com research paper writer though. They did it using powerful lasers. The research results were displayed at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibitio...

This artifact is caused by bloom algorithm. Can be reduced by more complex sampling method in shader (software bicubic instead of hardware bilinear), in cost of performance.

Hi, once I forgot my password so I typed it a few times, and an "anti-robot" appeared with questions. The problem is that everytime I log in (even if the password is correct) this question appears, and I have to type user and password again. Is it a known issue? :) Suggestion, why not use...
