Have you tried creating a virtual machine running Windows?

I see there's still a bit of a pointless intro and that navigating help still gets you confused if you're not fixating on the top panel.

I've taken your feedback into account and it really lightens the interface, thanks again to you :)

No problem!

Someone keeps uploading addons to the Steam Workshop without the owners' permission

Someone keeps uploading addons to the Steam Workshop without the owners' permission. Their Steam username is lexar1616, and everything they've uploaded to the Steam Workshop is something that someone else made, with the description "this is a port from the spaceengine forum if the original owne...

Help with creating Mods and Addons

Is there a way to change what the Milky Way looks like? At least in terms of color. I'd just kind of like to have a more fantastical look. On that same note though, is there a way to make stars with more unrealistic colors as well?

Can I just bring more attention to this question?

SpaceEngine F.A.Q.

32868 is it possible to turn on the orbit of one specific object (i.e. only earth´s orbit)? 33215 If you click the cog button on the panel where orbits are located, you can tick which type of bodies show their orbits. You can't specifically pick a body out, but this should work at making your scree...

SpaceEngine F.A.Q.

Hello everybody, is it possible to turn on the orbit of one specific object (i.e. only earth´s orbit)? The "orbits" button in the right side menue activates the orbits of all shown objects, resulting in a mess of lines on screen. I couldn´t find such an option so far. Thank you, cheers! I...

Well, yeah, as I just stated. There should be brown dust clouds spawning where the galaxy is brown.

No Space Engine news in the whole 2020, weird  :)

There's only one developer and they're trying to fit an entire universe into a magic box the size of a leg, I wouldn't be too surprised.

Possible bug: Incorrect calculation of radii/luminosities of procedural B-type stars

And what data supports which calculation? Actual science and reality? e.g. B0 V star -  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tau_Scorpii either way, their Luminosity should be in the tens of thousands of sols, not hundreds. Thanks for actually proving your calculation was correct, didn't take long did it?

Possible bug: Incorrect calculation of radii/luminosities of procedural B-type stars

32957 For instance, a B0 V star with a radius of 6.36 solar radii and temperature of 29220 K will have a luminosity of about ~26900 Sols, yet SE calculates its luminosity to be a measly 539 sols Which one is correct, then? Though it was obvious; the former is the correct calculation. There's no way...
