ISS Mod

You're right on the size, I'm not sure if that scale comes from the blender model I adapted or if I mistaked the units in the .sss file. But as you say that can be easily fixed in the editor. It looks like it is 10 times bigger than it should.

Help with creating Mods and Addons

Hi,  I've shared a few mods recently of real spacecrafts (Chandra Xray Observatory, TESS, Curiosity, and the ISS) In the post of the   ISS  Schubatamann draw my attention to an old blog news  http://spaceengine.org/news/blog170516/  where Space Engineer described (though I didn't understand well) n...

ISS Mod

It seems I was able to make a script to have the ISS in orbit.  The orbital parameters I used are those found  here  at the heavens above webpage, and are those of today July 16th 2019.  Of course, as you know these parameters tend to change slowly over time due to the fact that the earth is not a p...

Help with creating Mods and Addons

Ok, I'm gonna try to make something like this, and I'll let you know what results I get.  I believe that I understand now the idea of this (thanks to your comment Mr Abner), you make a planet which has a different type or class. Structure if I understand well should be fixed over the surface with a ...

ISS Mod

Thanks for confirming it now works on your side Ensabahnur.  I still have to check if some materials and textures aren't missing, it sometimes seems a bit white to me in some parts. But the model counts theoritically more than 1300 different materials and a litlle less than 400 textures, so that wil...

ISS Mod

My bad, I made some change in the route after the import, and even if it was stil working on my desktop computer, I tried on my laptop and it failed (invisible), and se.log pointed me to the reason being those changes I made to the routes of the files so that it would no longer point to the material...

ISS Mod

I might have packed incorrectly the files, or we may not be using the same version. I'm using .990.36.1665 I'm gonna check on my side, but could you indicate which version you're using meanwhile? Also, I've noticed that at some angles, my ISS disappear, reapearing when at a different angle. Coul...

ISS Mod

This one is big, but probably one of the most requested and discussed in the mods and addons forum.  This is the International Space Station.  For now this is only the 3d model. No separate modules, no effective docks. Just a nice ISS you can load into SE  and make look good.  scr00009.jpg scr00010....

MSL-Curiosity

Hi,  I've imported NASA Curiosity-MSL 3D model into Space Engine.  It looks nice, but of course (before you ask), it won't roll on mars. It will just be static where you put it, just looking handsome.  You'll certainly have to rotate it a bit with the editor (Shift-F2) to adjust it onto the surface....

Mods by Astroclu (SEV and HDU) for 0.9.8.0

29868 Actually now that I'm thinking about it, in all fairness it would make sense as dome camera Well thought, that might even be both things. I guess the crew living there wouldn't go out a lot by might but in an emergency, they would certainly appreciate light if they need to, and as there are n...

Mods by Astroclu (SEV and HDU) for 0.9.8.0

As far as I know, the only vehicles you can actually move in Space Engine are Spaceship / planes, so I don't think there is a way yet to make it roll on the surface. So yes, meanwhile, it'll remain a static object, which is nonetheless pleasant to have in a colonization scene like I've shown in the ...

Mods by Astroclu (SEV and HDU) for 0.9.8.0

Hi Mosfet, I'm glad you liked it and that it inspired you to give it a texture make over. It looks really fine with this high res diff map and with that lampost in 0.990.
