Dreams you've had

I had that dream too  :P. I guess that means we're cult-followers of SE.

General 0.9.9.0 Discussion

I know someone who is 69. And a big fan of SpaceEngine. I would understand if he was impatient with the release of SE 0.990. For who knows, how many years he still has. But he is patient and plays with SE 0.980 / 0.980_e until the release of the next version. That after all has also a lot to offer....

Totally off-topic thread

I've been watching a show on CBS (yeah I know, not exactly the pinnacle of television producers) called "Strange Angels" about the life and times of Jack Parsons, one of the fathers of Rocket Science: yaTxH79EaQg I thought it was all right. If you like vintage-style space 'history' (it is ...

Astrophotography

22061 Has anyone here on the forum had there astrophotography affected by the rampant wildfires? Yes. :(  I was planning on going up to the mountains to photograph the Perseids, but now the sky has turned white with smoke from fires in B.C.  I doubt I'd see much of anything. I was also going to hik...

Astrophotography

However, I have a big question: What's that blue "cloud" in the left botton? There is a star cluster there, but it shouldn't be that blue. Blue clouds in astrophotgraphy are typically over-exposed or color-enhanced reflection nebula . From wikipedia : Among the nicest of the refle...

General 0.9.9.0 Discussion

Since so much is going to happen in 9.9.0, I'm wondering what we will see in 9.9.1, possibly 9.10.0?  Probably SE v1.00 will bring about a mostly (but obviously not completed) finalized single-player and multiplayer gameplay concept and release of the actual game SpaceEngineer initially wanted (see...

Work progress 0.9.9.0

hopefully not... i think there many people that wants to try the new version. why not make update releases frequently? there so many changes. and it takes so long. i think you could make updates/patches piecemeal for all(like early access games on steam). Because some of the updates are rather comp...

My eyes are bleeding. God only knows what subliminal messages are hiding in there !

All I can say is that they used some Google Earth footage.

General questions about SpaceEngine

Did you read this: http://spaceengine.org/manual/space-flight-school/ ? Its where you should start, along with the main SE manual. Yes, that is a lot of reading, but no-one said piloting realistic space-ships in a realistic space simulator would be a cake-walk! Unless you are a total physics whizz, ...

Science and Astronomy Questions

While playing around with time dilation formulas, I just came across something interesting. If a ship is in a circular orbit at exactly 1.5 times the planet's radius (this is 3185km altitude for Earth), then its clocks will tick at exactly the same rate as clocks on the planet surface.  For a close...

Have you heard about the new game HADES 9 ? Its an interesting game that reminded me a bit of Sins of a Solar Empire meets EVE. Plus Isaac Arthur was involved in making it, so it must be good... Ettore_BilBo's Hangar

Hey ettore_bilbo , I found your mod page ;). I would like to say that these mods are BEYOND cool! Do the files work for all versions of SE (specifically 0.990)? BTW, the work you did on module/ship interiors is not that bad - its a start. I am thinking of doing some ship-inside modelling myself in t...
