Dreams you've had

Sadly he's not alone in that. My dreams refuse to let me to fly properly. I can never get above the powerlines and tree lines no matter how many times I try in no matter how many dreams. It sucks :( Whoaaa - me too! I thought it was just me restraining myself subconsciously. There must be a psychol...

What exoplanet might reply us back?

Have we send messages to Proxima Centauri, Gliese 667, TRAPPIST-1, etc yet? No. METI (Messaging to Extraterrestrial Life) is a very cautious field that very few actual attempts. One was sent in 1974 from the Arecibo complex to the globular star cluster M13 in Hercules. Another I think was sent to A...

Planets with potentially breathable atmospheres

According to the mountaineer Noel Odell the highest point (lowest pressure + lowered O2 levels) at which humans can live comfortably for an indefinite period was at 23'000 feet and 7.0649 KPa (0.069atm). That would be only slightly above the Armstrong Limit. One of the highest communities on Earth i...

Should I direct this to the attention of a SE team member? If they do use similar codes, then no harm done - If however they are completely unaware of Stephen Dole's work and the subsequent program it generated then it might help SE if I mention it :).

Thanks for the link - it explains a lot. I merely pointed out that since we did not see a version exceeding 0.0.9 in the past, that may not happen until the stable beta is released - such as v1.00. I had theorized earlier that it might be easier for the SpaceEngineer to make regular updates then tha...

Science and Astronomy Questions

Is anyone here on the forum familiar with the computer program called StarGen (link: http://www.eldacur.com/%7Ebrons/NerdCorner/StarGen/StarGen.html ), a program that simulates solar-systems around other stars based on the scientific papers of astronomers including Carl Sagan, and Stephen H. Dole, d...

Topic for Music Lovers

Asian music is always interesting, I find the styles so alien and energetic, especially if its mixed with some western modes. A friend recently suggested this band to me called Wagakki , that I found very cool. Unfortunately I don't understand Japanese :( but the music videos are extremely visual an...

I'm going to have to remember that one. My astronomy club can get a bit too serious otherwise.

Dreams you've had

22113 Last night I had a dream I suddenly found myself two months in the future from today, and the first thing I did was check if 0990 was released yet, nice And, was it? No :( I remember looking at the news page and seeing three new dev posts, one at the end of August and two near the end of Sept...

But since we did not have a SE v0.8.10.0, it stands to reason we will not have a 0.9.10.0.

I know someone who is 69. And a big fan of SpaceEngine. I would understand if he was impatient with the release of SE 0.990. For who knows, how many years he still has. But he is patient and plays with SE 0.980 / 0.980_e until the release of the next version. That after all has also a lot to offer....
