White dwarf binaries - why so many M/L V companions?

I think the system generation has been pretty good so far (I have far fewer complaints about SE's systems than I do Elite Dangerous', for example). But if this is being calculated incorrectly then maybe the devs can take a look at it?

Bloated ice giant  (<--- pic and location info can be found here) Not sure what's going here, but this ice giant has the lowest density I've seen - only 17 kg/m³! It's also far larger than it should be (1.5 jupiter radii) at only 11.6 earth masses. Is it being expanded by the extreme heat here? Or ...

When I look for white dwarf binaries (specifying WD as primary) the vast majority of the ones that show up have L Dwarf companions (though the more massive WDs have M V companions). I'm not sure if this is already on the cards for the next version but the current star browser in 0.9.8.0 is rather limited. I wanted to search for stars that had White dwarf companions but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that? (I can search for binary systems with WD primaries, but not specify...

Looks like there's a lot of rendering and procedural settings in that main-user.cfg file. I guess removing it regenerated that file to all the default settings?

The problem is that all these photos are long exposure. Our eyes don't do that - when we look at the Andromeda galaxy with the naked eye all we see is a fuzzy patch.  Also, in reality as we get closer to a nebula they should actually get *dimmer*, because the same amount of light is being spread out...

If you want to stitch screenshots together to make panoramas, Microsoft's "Image Composite Editor" is really good. I used to use Hugin before that but I've pretty much switched completely to ICE now (and it's free too!). https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/product/computational-photog...

Did something change in the orbit of the terra? Did you change its eccentricity (that could cause the temperature to shoot up due to tidal heating).
