Qr Bbpost So, just out of curiosity, does this mean SE won't be able to run on 32bit Win?

The x64 build won't be able to, but it would be a trivial matter to deploy an x86 build alongside it and let users launch whichever one they want.

Qr Bbpost Whenever you make hardware changes, particularly a graphics card, you should always delete the SpaceEngine\cache folder before restarting SE

Also after installing new graphics drivers. But starting with 0.990 SE will do this for you automatically.

Help with creating Mods and Addons

John Savior, your path is incorrect. The path should be relative to .../models/spacecraft/ so your path should be "StandardTurret/standardturret.cfg". You must also use forward slash and not backslash.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Did you even read my post? I never said that things never change, and I never said that maps shouldn't be updated. I've personally been responsible for several of the updates SE has had to its solar system planet textures over the years (including the Earth's city lights map). What I said is that th...

28338 Also another idea: Make Earth have procedural clouds, since the Blue Marble clouds image is over 15 years old. ...why? Procedural clouds would be much less accurate, and Earth's clouds look basically the same now as they did 15 years ago, and 100 years ago. The surface map is also 15 years ol...

Did you go back and check that it was actually where it was supposed to be at its time of perihelion? Did you watch it traverse that distance in that short of time, or did you only look at where it is today?

SpaceEngine TODO

It already has to deal with the lights of any number of suns, planets, and moons simultaneously, and already corners have to be cut to save on performance (I think only 4 lights are allowed at any one time right now). And when spacecraft can have their own local lights, there could be hundreds of li...

There is currently no way to make jets that large. They can only exist close to the black hole.

Wow, in that case 32" isn't so unreasonable. I sit much closer to my screens.

LBV 2012-26, why did you respond to such an old post with something that a previous user already replied with?

I am looking at this for my next monitor.   Its the only flat VA 30+" freesync 144 monitor I could find in Australia. I really wanted the Pixio PX329 but they are only available in the US.  This has almost the same specs and I can get it. Its also a matte anti glare finish, I can't stand gloss...

Can My PC Run SpaceEngine?

Several reputable hardware journalism outfits have investigated the claim that new drivers nerf performance on old cards, and they always find that it's not true. What tends to happen is that new drivers increase performance on newer cards, while the old ones stay the same (because they were already...
