1083 What do you think about the emoticons? I don't... really like them... I don't like them either. I've done some hunting around for a better emoticon set and found one that might be good. It would also be possible to use the ones from the old forum :) I'll talk to SpaceEngineer and/or qotop abou...

Planet bump maps

Kexitt, I'd be happy to process these maps for SE, but they need to be of the best possible quality to look good in the program. Can you upload lossless versions? (PNG, TGA, PSD, TIF, etc.)

No. This thread is for pictures that you have personally taken of objects in space. I'll clarify that in the OP.

1114 What is that green spot on the Moon? Is it just a lens flare or is it a result of editing A fresh impact crater, fresh lunar impact ejecta tends to have a greenish-blue color. But don't pay much attention to it in this picture, all I did was bump up the saturation, which just makes the shortco...

Yes, en.spaceengine.org seems to work now, but has anyone tried ru.spaceengine.org? For me it's still offline.

Astrophotography

Another forum, another astrophotography thread :) Post here any photos you've taken of objects in space! I'll start it off with some noteworthy pics of mine (pics in spoilers are ones that I (might) have posted before on the old forum). Conjunction of the Moon and Mars (through binoculars), ...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Teterrimo, the issue with the axial tilt is in the display of their value, not the tilt itself. The axial tilts are correct, but for some reason the values displayed on the interface are incorrect.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Whenever I take a screenshot with a higher resolution than my screen allows, the game doesn't seem to render lens flares and stuff like that. Any ideas on how to fix it? I think the issue is that lens flares don't render for objects that are larger than a certain absolute size in pixels on the scre...

But I can put my findings for the different descriptions up on the forum but I would at least need to know where to put them first so that way I don't end up putting them in the wrong posting.

I have created a thread here.

COMMUNITY ADDON - Object Descriptions

SpaceEngine contains many, many catalog objects, and only a tiny number of them have descriptions in the database files (these descriptions are what show up in the Info section of the 'Wiki' window in SE). Writing descriptions for objects is a very time-consuming task, so it's hard for SpaceEngineer...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

1) Please make the HD maps integrated into the game as so that way the planets and moons (at least in our solar system) are already good looking and ready to be viewed in all their majesty instead of having to download extra extensions This would require that everyone who wants to use SE download 5...

I have now tried Firefox (Windows), Chrome (Windows), Internet Explorer (Windows), Chrome (Mac), Safari (Mac), Chrome (Android), and Chrome (Chrome OS). Some of them seemed to work from cached versions, but once I forced a refresh, all failed. Here are my IPv6 and IPv4 trace results for en.spaceengi...

It's more likely an issue with the name server.
