Quick Question about Realism

Qr Bbpost I have no idea where to put it

Troubleshooting thread would have been a good place, it definitely has nothing to do with realism.

It's a limitation of SE at the moment. Ships are little more than an experimental feature, and have lots of issues and limitations.

Are my planets too bright?

29021 When viewing Mars when the Sun is directly behind, for example, lots of light bounces off its surface, which causes the entire surface to appear brighter and more white. This may happen because it uses a texture for its surface instead of procedural terrain, so its reflectivity may not be acc...

Qr Bbpost Actually, if you say so much, you might as well publish it in a steam store now.

We're going to as soon as we can. We have to wait for Valve to review and approve it for publication.

He's talking about diffuse textures, not height.

Titan's surface is not visible from space in visible wavelengths, so near infrared is the next best thing. If you don't like that, then maybe I shouldn't mention that the Venus map is entirely made from radar images...

I think those sound like typical SE issues and I doubt you can do anything about it.

HarbingerDawn's 0.9.9.0 Streams

28833 I wish SpaceEngineer just released new versions more regularly without crunching a billion features into a single version. Idk if this counts as 'feature creep' but this whole thing with the hype and junk is getting obnoxious, and I bet SpaceEngineer is going to get to 'release' when he decid...

Qr Bbpost lower load speed caused an excessive amount of time to load dense star areas like the center of the galaxy

Loading speed has nothing to do with loading stars, it only affects landscapes (and I think in 0.980 there is a bug which makes it have no effect at all).

If there were any news, it would be posted in the work progress thread and/or news section of the website. 28848 Also I had and still have the problem that the terrain on every planet doesn't load. It's just flat everywhere and I couldn't figu...
