How much video memory do you have?

I honestly expected 22-24GB on the 2080Ti but was disappointed when it released with only 11, it should have for the price they are asking. At least they could have opted for something in-between - 16-18GBs would have been sufficient for the 2080ti so that the Titan RTX's VRAM would make more sense...

How much video memory do you have?

I only have 11GB.. I want more.. Why NVIDIA equipped the 2080Tis with the same amount of VRAM as the 1080Tis? They should have put at least 16..

New blog post: http://spaceengine.org/blog190328/ I just feel sorry for people with weak GPUs... Maybe I must start saving for Titan RTX.. You know, just to be sure for when SE ver 1.00 comes out :) The 3D effect sure looks magnificent NathanKerbonaut! I wonder what kind of hardware SE will require...

The Future of Humanity & Intelligent life in the universe

GpYGMIZ9Bow I found something similar (but I couldn't bare to watch it to the end cause severe melancholy & depression kicked in at around ~ 10minute mark): uD4izuDMUQA Isaac Arthur has a strange (funny) accent. At least he keeps talking and prevents sever depression to me. I still couldn't wat...

Science and Astronomy Videos

During the 60's the cold war was at its peak and the domination of near earth space was one of the primary focus of both the US and the USSR. To go to the moon before the end of the 60's, with the technology of that time, was probably the biggest and most risky achievement of the 20th century (and p...

Conspiracy Theory Thread

Yes I am always cautious with such stories. I was a believer back in my late teens but now I think these stories are there just to feed those who just want to believe because they always want to think there is something out there to feed their fantasies / insecurities / put any reason you can think ...

Physical simulation of the space engine

USB2 has infinite space as with many 3D game engines, it just indefinitely scales with zooming or movement.  But it can only support a few 1000s objects at most due to a hard limit set in it for computation reasons as it is computing interactions between all those objects in every combo, so interac...

Do you think we are alone in the Milky Way?

------------------------------------------------------ Merged from the "Do you think we are alone in the Milky Way?" topic ------------------------------------------------------ Hmm I also opt for the 3rd possibility. But it is probably much more complicated than this. Watsisname , said s...

What web browser do you you use? (POLL)

I use Firefox but I also have chrome installed just in case some site(s) may have a special preference/favor for it. Obviously M$s browsers are installed by default but I only use them for the same reason as chrome. When I was much younger I used to use Netscape (oh those glorious early internet day...

I just want to be able to take screenshots to use as a wallpaper on my own computer. Now i'll have to pay extra just to be able to do that without having the wallpaper include the UI. I don't think that would be the case, correct me someone from SE Team if I am wrong. On a somewhat related note: If...

A very PC discussion

I think that intel is trolling its customers. And here is why: I decided to build a new system around Q3 2017. I had a six core 12 thread CPU (core-i7 970) back from early 2010/2011 which was still performing good 7 years later but I wanted to build a system that would be future proof in terms of pe...

Can My PC Run SpaceEngine?

Nicely laid out. However, regarding the GPUs I am a bit surprised: The increase in the GPUs and VRAM requirements I think is way too high. I can understand that SE 0.990 has advanced a lot from its predecessors but still a 100% increase is way too high IMHO. To not be able to run the program even on...

I need you to clarify a bit the reason for this long wait ...After years, a few months ago I asked if it would arrive by 2018 and you said yes. On October 24 you said that the work was mostly completed ... 2 months later the steam version was going to be sent.Month and a half later nothing is known...
