I had 3 cards die within 6 months of purchase, evga 9800 GTX they were and 2 I know died due to a driver bug which stopped the fans at 0% even though the software reported something like 40%. they spiked at 113ºC and died lol. But truth be told they were bumpgate effected parts so they were likely ...

PS what killed your card exactly?  I heard keeping GPU usage in the 50% or less range keeps GPU in good working condition for a decade or more- is that true? I actually don't know, I launched Quake Champions the first time with suggested graphics and it worked just fine. Then I increased graphics a...

Rest in peace dear R9 270. Sadly my video card has stopped working after 5 years of hard work. It's probably my fault because I downloaded Quake Champions and I couldn't stand the low textures it suggested me, so I tried full-res. The game didn't even load before it all became full black and I could...

Theoretically it's stable since it is in a lagrange point, and in reality it is. For example, there are a lot of asteroids orbiting in L 3 lagrange point of sun-jupiter barycenter (Hilda family). The L 3 point is the point of the orbit in which a counter-earth is supposed to lie. A small perturbatio...

Interesting! I wasn't sure so I searched on internet, but I probably ended in the wrong site.  :)

No, instead it would get further away faster!
Since there is a bigger difference between the rotation of Earth and the rotation of the Moon around Earth, friction will also be increasing thus the effect that is making the moon get further would be increased.

I really wish I had darker skies.

Same, I live right in the middle of most polluted sky area of Italy. Luckily there are a few mountains around and there the sky is acceptable, but not enough for seeing the Milky Way though.

Yeah.
I'll give you a tip: 57005 is a "dead" number.
Now I think it's easy.

Something like that is absolutely not an option for SE unless you want 25 fps at 720p on a 1080 Ti. Yeah, I pretty much agree. Unreal Engine provides very realistic graphics even not implementing ray-tracing (you can use it in the last versions but only if you have a compatible GPU), so it's not co...
