Sending locations to others.

I use an addon that fixes a single star system. That enough to mess things up?

Sending locations to others.

Ohhh, I see. It generates it from some kind of pattern, and that pattern is going to produce the same thing every time.

So place-user.cfg is sufficient to give someone else the location?

Sending locations to others.

Since Space Engine uses procedural generation to fill in unknown celestial bodies, I assume that two players going to the same distant galaxy will find entirely different stars and planets there. So if one sends his recorded locations to the other, it won't show the same planets/stars/terrains, right?

8887 These are the details of the Pistol Star as shown in SE: The specification of 27.5 masses for the pistol star is probably wrong in the English Wikipedia. The German Wikipedia and the Spanish Wikipedia give 150 masses. You sure they're using solar masses as a measure? Alas, Google gives the ans...

Skylake , could you please attach your se.log file which is located in your SpaceEngine/system/ folder, as requested in the topmost message of this thread? 8875 I feel like there should be a separate thread to report inaccuracies... There are some, in fact, like this one: COMMUNITY ADDON: Catalog f...

Systems should indeed be the same for all users having the same version, unless there's some peculiar addon. I tried replicating the issue but it's working correctly in my case. Please try again after deleting the cache folder. Sorry, I didn't notice this. Doing this fixed the problem. I am also ha...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

I feel like there should be a separate thread to report inaccuracies... the Pistol Star is completely wrong. Did its description get mixed up with another star's or something?

EDIT: Actually, a lot of stars seem to be inaccurate. Did Romanyuk actually take the measurements from astronomical records?

Terrain generation

Just how is planetary terrain generated in SE? I'm looking for inspiration for fantasy maps... but it seems rather generic from what I've seen.

I'm not sure if the UY Scuti system is the same for everyone, but for me the farthest orbit contains binary planets - one oceania and one desert. I tried to view the latter planet eclipsing UY Scuti from inside the oceania's atmosphere, but when it passes in front of the star it disappears completel...

So I went to this galaxy at the end of the universe and it has a bunch of stars orbiting around nothing in the center. It's called RG 0-9-95869807-1151.
