Mastfa , I see what you have selected there it's not the SpaceEngine executable file, but the one for the workshop configuration and uploading tool (LaunchPad), which indeed returns that message if you don't launch it from the steam library. You should have a text document file named "se"...

Scientific articles by forum members!

35901 Correct me if I'm wrong This thread is to collect forum posts of scientific content, not fictional content. As for the threads you mentioned, they are there, only buried by more recent topics that apparently are picking the interest for current forum users. For example there's a surge of post...

CGIMAGE, according your se.log file you are not using the latest version of SpaceEngine but build 0.990.39.1775 (january 2020), if you are using 0.990.39 branch on steam you're missing latest updates. See http://spaceengine.org/news/blog190623/ and revert in the stable branch or hop in beta.

General questions about SpaceEngine

I think I am missing something. How do I see constellations? Can't find anything on the interface, nor in controls, and nothing online. I feel dumb for asking this.  "Constellations" is a quite visible feature in the filters toolbar on the right, but it's a feature existing only in SpaceE...

Hi I joined this forum to ask a question. I noticed the current time of the program is set at the year 2518. Its running off Steam Gaming network. Any idea how to adjust it to present day? You are using the program in flight simulator mode, wich is supposed to be in that year. Either use Planetariu...

Qr Bbpost FOV as a variable so it could be interpolated or add time parameter to the current FOV command, which would allow a nice smooth telescopic zoom in or out.

FOV accepts the (undocumented) parameter Time, try:
FOV 2.5 {Time 60}
FOV 13 {Time 0}
