General suggestions for SpaceEngine

I tried to find planets with life as we don't know it (exotic life), but every such planet only has either co2 or n2 as ocean, which is not good solvents for life. i expected something like methane and ethane, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide or even hydrogen fluoride, which is more realistic considering t...

General 0.990 Discussion

Somehow, the effective temperatures of planets would not exceed 1 200 Kelvin (926.85 Celsius), neither would galaxies exceed a diameter of 100 000 parsecs (326 163 light-years). The temperature limitation has existed since 0.974. It's kinda unrealistic, will these limitations be removed in the 0.990...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

SpaceEngineer I've discovered an issue after the 0.9.7.4 update. The effective temperature on planets are limited to 1200 Kelvin. The radius of galaxies are limited to 50 000 parsecs. And when I set the music to "play in order" it skips the first one. Are these bugs? Of this particular rea...

Work progress 0.9.9.0
No, new nebulae will not help with this. The problem is that stars must be rendered inside dust somehow. New nebulae does not support this, they are rendered on top of stars. So if you have some star which is closer to you than nebula, nebula's dust will absor...

Work progress 0.9.9.0

Space Engineer thanks for adding many cool features into 0.990 like nebula dust blocks out light. There's one thing that's bugging me though, the luminosities of giant stars. Sure, if giant stars had realistic luminosity otherwise invisible stars would become unrealistically bright in the night sky....
