Qr Bbpost How do you do for have lights in stations?

in SpaceEngine you can use light textures. In this case I used different materials with the same completely white light texture, then in sml file you can choose different light colors for different materials.

I didn't say that reicou did, sorry.

BambusDude's Nebulae 4.5!

20970 Um BambusDude, do I get rid of the entire cache folder or just the nebulae folder? does this keep nebulae that weren't edited? you only have to delete the cache folder or more specific delete the nebulae folder within /cache/models. dont delete anything else. (except an older version of my ad...

Are you asking how to add lights to spacecrafts? I can't really tell, but if you are then you only can when you make the spacecraft in your own 3d editor as a material, not in spaceengine.

General questions about SpaceEngine

Whilst controlling a spacecraft and after selecting a target, is it possible to reset target to none somehow? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

No but if you build your spacecraft far away from an object then there will be no target, and no reference.

Science and Astronomy Questions

Propulsion Disk, wouldn't have an effect at all really.  We're talking 1 atom per cubic centimeter, some cases less, some cases more but there isn't enough for it to be a concern unless you are moving at relativistic velocities.

Thanks Doc!

If I select a random star from the screen, I can find information about it (by pressing "I" key), but that information does not include what galaxy the star is in.  How can I find that? What? Do you mean the star browser? Because if you do, then the star you selected will be in the radius...

Would a spacecraft that is aerodynamic move faster? Because if my studies are correct, space mainly has hydrogen gas in it, which means that if a spacecraft was aerodynamic it would move faster sense the hydrogen gas would flow over it, and under it, would it not?

Qr Bbpost I hope that others will also contribute!  This thread should not be just me and FFT.

I would like to talk about a bunch of things about our solar system but it seems I always get things wrong and I don't want to do that here. :(

How do you think we can get to Proxima b?

20904 It says right here, "atomic particle erosion" in the "protective coating" Wikipedia is not wrong. Maybe it's easy to misinterpret that. When they say atomic particle erosion they are not talking about atoms or subatomic particles been eroded, they are refering to the erosi...

How do you think we can get to Proxima b?

20896 which means electrons get eroded by the things in space I know we said this several times now but I want to emphasize this. If atomic erosion is a strange use of the term "erosion" then electron erosion is just totally wrong. Electrons are elementary particles, they do not erode. If...
