Advertising SE?

Sharing space engine's content and stuff through Reddit, other social media, recommendations, et. al bring in a lot of traffic, and any community members can help with the effort. A Patreon for Space Engine would be cool, at least -- not so much a kickstarter as "you can get development builds ...

Total Solar Eclipse 2017

I can see a partial eclipse with around 75% coverage from my current location. I'm not sure if I can go down south to see it, but I'd love to.

Either way, I'm really excited as this will be the first eclipse I've seen. (Excluding boring old lunar eclipses.

A Note About Eventual Mac Compatibility

You may want to add groups/discussions for Linux and Mac development. I use Linux often and having a wide variety of people with different system configurations can help a lot -- I'd certainly be willing to help out.

What UI skin do you use?

I use the "Celestial Legacy" theme.

If possible, I think it would be awesome to have customizable colors, like a slider for Hue or similar. The new themes look super awesome and being able to customize them would be even better.

Elite is great! I'm a member of Canonn and was one of the first to encounter the thargoids.

Kerbal Space Program is really fun too.

Quotes about Universe for loading window

I made a Google Sheets (basically an Excel Spreedsheet/list) for some of the ones I've found in the thread.
You can add to it if you'd like; here is the link:

Spaceflight Physics Concept

A few small things. Assuming I understand how you intend the warp drive to work, the Coriolis Effect will be a huge issue. Hopefully the computer can compensate. For the engines, 10g of acceleration (92m/s^2) is pretty nuts. Even chemical rockets that guzzle fuel only have about 5g of acceleration ...

Science and Astronomy Questions

It already exists, we only know about the correlation because we know the cause. For example, for a while, nobody knew what tides were caused by. Eventually we learned about gravity and tidal forces, and then the correlation between the Moon and the tides made sense. For existing stuff, think of gra...

Re: Suggestions about new website

It's really awesome! I'm not sure how I feel about slideshows (see this xkcd comic ), but it's so much cleaner and neater than the previous website, and is in general something I'd see from a professional game company. I would put a note on the login page saying you need to create a new account (as ...
