Indeed, FFT. All of this was in the Proland C++/OpenGL library (link here ), that sadly stopped to be developed. Among other they proposed a way to animate rivers in real-time

15893 The new terrain algorithm is amazing. I know that this this is a very different technology so that it could not be implemented that easily in SE but I think you could be interested by this video about near-instantaneous terrain generation + erosion from deep learning algorithms trained on act...

Great job on reflections Vladimir! I have a question about them. Will it be possible to have reflections of an object on itself? I mean, for example, take Endurance from Interstellar. If it were reflective, we should see on some faces reflections of itself due to its odd shape. Will that be possibl...

For the (few, I imagine) people who don't know where this image came from, it's from the epic short film Wanderers by Eric Wernquist You can already have similar view in SE, without the ice reflection scr00005.jpg But I'm not sure that the ice is as reflective as on th...

15492 2) If reflections are implemented for ships can they be implemented for planetary objects? Only the diffuse part of image-based lighting, but not mirror-like reflections (they simply does not exist on a planetary scale). And no, water surface reflections cannot be implemented using this, they...

- accurate modelling of the hydrological cycle (cloud formation, precipitation, albedo change etc) Cloud formation is going to be impossible to simulate, not even super computers can do it correctly. I don't think SpaceEgineer is thinking about real-time physically accurate planet-scale multi-phasi...

Updated locations menu, once again... scr00632.jpg Locations are now saves the photo mode and exposure compensation value, and applies them after loading. Otherwise user will see not the same picture on the screen as in the location preview. I love it ! Updated locations menu, once again... scr0063...
