Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Thanks, I haven't been doing that when updating graphics drivers and it causes a longer load time since it builds up the shader cache again.  Got excited with the latest driver update because in the release notes it states that the new drivers bring ray tracing to the 1060 GTX 6 GB card!

Jack, which of these is the most accurate do you think?  Has the planet been confirmed?

General questions about SpaceEngine

28466 I think you may have answered this before but will it ever become possible to show real time weather conditions on Earth using satellite images and real time landscapes on earth akin to what Google Earth shows?  I think the answer would be no because you would need to have SE connected to the...

I believe so, yes.

Thats excellent!  We'll be able to use different combos to change what color the sky is and what the terrain of the planet looks like, land vs sea ratio, etc.!

Probably yes, updating all textures on the planet is quite fast now. Gameplay concept

I do like the idea of multiple universes where we can play around with the characteristics of each universe (like constants, forces, etc.) to see what the result is, but that might be a bit beyond the scope of SE, although if anyone can do it, Vlad would be the person who could!

28379 I've always wondered what shadows would look like in multiple star systems- especially with different colored stars! Space Engine is a good way to experience it. :) Thanks Wat!  I would love to see that but I have a hard time seeing shadows with Space Engine.  Maybe it's a setting I need to f...

Can't wait for what the seasons look like on other planets

Is the new version going to allow us to play around with atmospheric composition on procedural planets?  For example- will it allow us to change the composition and percentage of each element or gas to see what the results are?

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

hmm I found the galaxy M87 in Space Engine, but no listing for the black hole itself.  Unlike M81, where there is a listing both for the galaxy and for the black hole. You can select it by clicking one of the orbiting stars around the black hole, clicking the system button to get a list of objects ...

3 facts maybe you don't know about antimatter

28295 Maybe that's the big filter. (Fermi paradox.) I find that unlikely, since a civilization advanced enough to make quantities of antimatter sufficient to deal any real damage to their planet would also have sophisticated space-travel capabilities and the required magnetic storage facilities, lo...

It's amazing to think that all the gold and silver in the world was formed by neutron star collisions (or possibly supernova explosions?)
